A multi-criteria support for the cost-effectiveness analysis of health interventions Uma contribuição multicritério para a análise de custo-efetividade de medicamentos
This paper analyzes the performance of 20 multimarket investment funds in the Brazilian market from May/2015 to April/2017 in order to categorize them into 4 performance levels. The cumulative rate and the funds' volatility are calculated in 2 periods among the total periods studied, in order to generate a mutual degree of influence among the funds of each group. Next, the WINGS method is applied. This method splits each group into 2 subgroups, generating the 4 levels of classification. The use of the methodology classified 5 funds in each subgroup. The data analysis compared the obtained classification with the classification established by the cumulative rate of the funds throughout the entire period and presented 4 ways to prioritize the decision for the funds ranked higher. These 4 ways of prioritizing the decision aim at assisting investors with different points of view.
was estimated taking as a dependent variable the formation of inhibitors in a sample of 112 patients. Results: 85.71% (96) of the patients suffer from type A hemophilia. Regarding the severity of the disease, the distribution of the patients included in the study was 15 mild (13.39%), 17 moderate (15.18 %) and 80 severe (71.43%). 29.46% (33) of the patients have arthropathies. Regarding the determinants, the dose, the number of applications per week, the black race and the increase in the days of initiation of treatment in relation to the diagnosis maintain a direct relationship with the formation of inhibitors. The age measured in years becomes a protective factor, finally the presence of arthropathies and the type of hemophilia were variables that showed no statistically significant relationship in the formation of inhibitors Conclusions: The formation of inhibitors is highly dose-related, the number of weekly applications, being black increases the probability of forming inhibitors. The strategy of reducing the number of days between diagnosis and the start of treatment would play a fundamental
ANBIMA, the Brazilian Financial and Capital Markets Association, monthly presents the ranking of investment funds management by category. This ranking makes available information about the management of resources from players that invested in funds in Brazil. The institutions that are included in this ranking are ordered based on the total amount of the net equity under management in all categories of investment funds. The research presented in this article applies the TODIM multi-criteria method for building the ANBIMA ranking of June 2017 using the ten best-positioned institutions. In order to accomplish this, each participating institution is considered as an alternative and each category of investment fund functions as a criterion. This allows for a comparison between the ANBIMA ranking against the ranking obtained by using the TODIM method. This comparison points to the possibility of making use of a new, enriched system to order the institutions based on pairwise analyses and taking into account expressions of gains and losses.
