Source/Description: The phage clone FMS22, containing a 0.8 and a 1.4 kb Hindlll insert, was isolated from a human chromosome 20-specific gene library (Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, California, LL20NSO1, ATCC #57712). The 1.4 kb HindIll fragment was subcloned into the HindIII site of pBR322, giving rise to pFMS22-1.4. Polymorphisms: MspI identifies a three-allele polymorphism with bands at 4.5 (a), 2.6 (b) and 2.0 kb (c). Pst I detects two alleles with bands at 1.6 (y) and 1.1 kb (z) and an additional constant band at 1.2 kb. The DNA source is blood lymphocytes. Frequencies: MspI: a (4.5 kb) : 0.17 b (2.6 kb) : 0.46 c (2.0 kb) : 0.37 Studied in 49 unrelated European Caucasians. PIC = 0.55
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
