Este artigo é o resultado de uma pesquisa bibliográfica realizada através do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (MPEG) e financiada pelo Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). O enfoque foi dado ao estudo do conceito de ribeirinidade enquanto categoria de análise cultural do modo de vida dos povos ribeirinhos da Amazônia, através da identificação, reflexão e análise de alguns dos elementos que correspondem à expressão cultural dos grupos que habitam às margens dos rios na região Amazônica.
Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar o desempenho institucional do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), na sua competência penal, isto é, na apuração dos inquéritos instaurados, no período de 2004 – 2015, contra possíveis delitos praticados por políticos eleitos, tanto do poder legislativo (Deputados Federais e Senadores), quanto do poder executivo (Presidentes e Ministros de Estado), os quais são apreciados em regime de Prerrogativa de Função (Foro Privilegiado). O problema examinado está em saber se há um baixo numero de inquéritos concluídos no prazo previsto ou que chegaram à prescrição, o que teria como consequência a impunidade do sistema político brasileiro.
Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os crimes praticados por políticos eleitos no Brasil contemporâneo, a nível federal, examinando quais são as principais práticas delitivas cometidas por esses atores, no período de 2004 a 2015. Através da análise dos inquéritos abertos no Supremo Tribunal Federal, foi possível avaliar as principais denúncias e os atores envolvidos, bem como o resultado da apuração (arquivamento ou recebimento da denuncia). Tomando como base o conceito de corrupção à luz da teoria política contemporânea, serão demonstrados quais são os principais delitos praticados e os detalhes sobre como se deu as práticas delitivas praticadas por esses representantes do Brasil.
