El Programa de Regeneración de Conjuntos Habitacionales del MINVU ha establecido la necesidad urgente por reducir el déficit cualitativo de la vivienda social y mejorar los edificios de condominios en altura. A partir del aprendizaje de las primeras experiencias se elaboró un modelo de gestión donde se puede constatar la relevancia de los largos plazos de ejecución de estos proyectos. El presente estudio identifica dimensiones en la gestión, diseño e implementación en los procesos que permitirían reducir sus plazos de aplicación. Por medio de un análisis comparativo de tres casos de estudio en desarrollo se identifican operaciones que permitirían reducir el plazo total de la ejecución. En la Etapa de Diagnóstico, se recomienda la reorganización de los estudios requeridos. En la Etapa de Movilidad y Construcción, la tecnología aplicada a los sistemas constructivos posee un impacto relevante en los plazos de ejecución.
