"Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar como foram estabelecidas as relações didáticas entre o professor, os alunos e o saber matemático função afim, desde o planejamento até a aplicação da sequência didática que foi elaborada pelo próprio professor sujeito de pesquisa. O estudo, de natureza qualitativa, foi desenvolvido com um professor de matemática e seus respectivos alunos do 1º ano do ensino médio de uma escola estadual localizada no interior de Pernambuco. A fim de atender nosso objetivo, iniciou-se essa investigação desde o planejamento do professor, por meio de entrevistas, até chegar à aplicação de uma sequência didática na sala de aula. Os resultados mostraram que, desde a entrevista inicial, o professor forneceu indícios que não haveria uma devolução total de uma situação de aprendizagem para os alunos, sendo o modelo normativo o que mais prevaleceu na aplicação da sequência didática. Além disso, ao restringir a entrada dos alunos no sistema de devolução, por consequência, há uma interferência nas situações adidáticas provocadas pelas interações dos alunos com meio adidático. Assim, as situações mais identificáveis foram as de ação e formulação, que ocorreram de modo conjunto, não era possível distinguir uma fase da outra. Já a validação das situações de aprendizagem foi transferida pelos alunos para o professor, enquanto a institucionalização ocorreu por meio da resolução dos problemas pelo docente sem uma interação efetiva com os alunos."
