Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis pengaruh lama pengerusan terhadap resistivitas dan konstanta dielektrik pada pasir besi yang disintesis di Kabupaten Bima. Material magnetik dipisahkan dari pasir besi dengan menggunakan magnet permanen. Sampel pasir besi dicuci menggunakan aquades dan dikeringkan pada temperatur 200 o C. Karakterisasi material pasir besi dilakukan dengan Atomic Absorption Spectrophometry (AAS), Electrical Konductivity Meter (EC), LCR meter dengan menggunakan konstanta dielektrik dan metode analisis regresi. Hasil karakterisasi menunjukkan bahwa pasir besi di Kabupaten Bima, pada nilai konstanta dielektrik diperoleh rata-rata kapasitansi pada sampel 1 jam nilai constanta dielektrik sebesar 0.862 x 10 5 , 2 jam 0.911 x 10 5 , 3 jam 1.088 x 10 5 , 4 jam 1.185 x 10 5 dan 5 jam 1.432 x 10 5 . Sedangkan Sampel pasir besi ini memiliki nilai resistivitas rata-rata sebesar 10,674 x 10 -4 Ωm. Dari hasil pengukuran tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa sampel yang digerus selama 5 jam mengalami peningkatan dan pemberian medan magnet yang semakin besar dapat meningkatkan nilai kapasitansi disebabkan karena pada ukuran material yang digerus selama 5 jam menjadikan ukuran material semakin kecil sehingga kandungan air didalam semakin berkurang sehingga menjadikan material tersebut banyak menyimpan muatan listrik dan hasl perhitungan nilai resisitivitas pada penggerusan 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 jam mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini disebabkan semakin lama penggerusan semakin kecil ukuran bulir pasir sehingga semakin banyak batas bulir yang dimiliki. Banyaknya batas bulir mengurangi jalan bebas rata-rata pembawa muatan sehingga akan memiliki resisitivitas yang semakin besar. Ukuran bulir yang semakin kecil akan mengakibatkan elektron semakin susah bergerak, sebagai akibatnya resistivitas akan meningkat.
