The assessment process did not end by only making questions. They will arrive at the analysis of the questions quality. Item analysis is performed to determine the quality of the questions items arranged. Good quality items will greatly affect the results of the assessment and properly capturing the results of learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze the Social Sciences question items for fifth grade of elementary school using the classic ITEMAN focusing on the characteristics of the level of difficulty, the discrimation power, and the functioning of distractor of items. This research is a descriptive study with quantitative research. Subjects were 370 elementary school students in Serang City. The instrument analuzed was made in the form of 20 items of multiple choices with four answer option. The instrument was validated by the content expert and estimated the reliability by using the KR-20 method by reliability index of 0.75 obtained. The data analysis technique used ITEMAN software to see the characteristics of items that contain the level of difficulty, discrimination power and disctractor’ function. The results showed that 80% of the difficulty level were in the medium category, 90% of the dircrimination power items were in the good category, and 90% of the distractors had well-fuctioned. This result indicated that the question created by teacher for fifth grade of elementary school in Serang City concluded as good category.
Character is the most important factor in educational attainment. Character is not formed suddenly, but needs regular habituation. Indonesia as a humanist country upholds the attitude of mutual cooperation, tolerance, mutual love and protection. However, this is now gradually fading due to a lack of concern for others. This incident became the strongest basis for implementing character education which must be instilled from an early age, especially in elementary schools. This study aims to describe and analyze the implications of character building through the Friday Charity program that has been implemented at SDN 5 Gunung Agung. Therefore, researchers need to understand the implementation process and the character values contained in it. The approach used is a qualitative approach and case study methods. The research subjects consisted of principals, PAI teachers, class teachers and students in grades V and VI. The research location is in Tunas Jaya village, precisely at SDN 5 Gunung Agung. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. Based on the results of the analysis that has been carried out, it shows the character values that appear in it. These implications can be seen from the results of the questionnaire, namely 95% of students answered correctly according to the expected character and 5% of students answered incorrectly to the expected character. This means that the Friday Charity program is involved in character building. Therefore, the Friday Charity program is an alternative activity to foster student character.
This study aims to find out, analyze and describe the process of implementing morning activity and the implications of morning activity in fostering students' noble morals. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a case study method. This study was conducted by taking data in the high class as the main subject through several data collections such as participant obervation, semistructured interviews, and questionnaires. The location of this study is at the UPI Pilot Laboratory Elementary School, Serang Campus. Based on the results of the study, 6 morning activity habituation programs were obtained including dhuha prayers, flag ceremonies, literacy, muraja'ah, tahfidz and tahsin, as well as jumroh / jumsih / skj. The implementation of this activity is carried out before class hours begin according to the schedule of daily activities and in the process of implementation is accompanied by the teacher. The implications of this morning activity on high-grade learners can be seen from the results of a questionnaire filled out by 36 respondents. The results showed that 84% of students answered appropriately and 16% of students answered incorrectly. This shows that there are very large implications of morning activity habituation for the development of noble morals of students, especially for students in grades IV, V, and VI.
Education plays a role in character building. This study aims to determine, analyze, and describe the implementation of the Islamic Studies program, character values, and the implications of the Islamic Studies program on student character building. This research is a qualitative research with case study method. Data collection used: observation, interviews, documentation studies, and questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that: 1) in limited face-to-face learning, the implementation of the Islamic Studies program went well, 2) the character values in the Islamic Studies program included: religious, hard work, responsibility, fond of reading, disciplined, independent, love peaceful, appreciative of achievement, and communicative, 3) the implementation of the Islamic Studies program has significant implications for the character building of students with 84% of students responding correctly and 16% of students answering incorrectly. The Islamic Studies program is recommended for other schools as an effort to build character.
