Resumo O efeito do aporte térmico na dureza de juntas soldadas de um aço HTP alto teor de Nb e baixo Mn foi estudado. Os diferentes aportes térmicos aplicados tiveram como intenção simular condições distintas de severidade empregados na soldagem de chapas grossas com aplicação "sour service". Para isso, foram reproduzidos diferentes ciclos térmicos em diferentes corpos de prova objetivando simular a região de crescimento de grãos da zona termicamente afetada (ZTA) por intermédio de um simulador termomecânico Gleeble®. Após as simulações foi executada análise em microscópios ótico e confocal e ensaio de microdureza Vickers para avaliar alterações microestruturais e influência destas na dureza do material. Os resultados mostraram que a estrutura bainitica obtida foi diferente nos três aportes, com surgimento de ferrita poligonal no maior aporte térmico; O maior valor de dureza medido se deu no menor aporte térmico, no entanto o valor está compreendido na faixa de dureza que classifica o material como tendo boa resistência por trincamento a frio. A dureza tende a diminuir à medida que se aumenta o aporte em virtude do maior tempo de resfriamento, consequentemente do surgimento de microconstituintes de dureza inferior.
