The expansion of chemical space associated with ubiquitous motifs is key to unleash new properties and functions. In this context, alkynamides, prevalent in numerous drugs and materials, represent an untapped resource. We herein report the first synthetic access to N-trifluoromethyl alkynamides. Our strategy relies on a mild and operationally simple Ni-catalyzed coupling of N-CF 3 carbamoyl fluorides with alkynyl silanes. The synthesized N-CF 3 alkynamides proved to be highly robust and readily functioned as a platform to unlock access to valuable derivatives, such as N-CF 3 decorated alkenyl amides, oxindoles, or quinolones, all of which were inaccessible to date.
The departure into unknown chemical space is essential for the discovery of new properties and function. We herein report the first synthetic access to N-trifluoromethylated formamides. The method involves the reduction of bench-stable NCF 3 carbamoyl fluorides and is characterized by operational simplicity and mildness, tolerating a broad range of functional groups as well as stereocenters. The newly made NÀ CF 3 formamide motif proved to be highly robust and compatible with diverse chemical transformations, underscoring its potential as building block in complex functional molecules.
An efficient one‐pot, two step method for fusing two biologically active motifs, CF3‐substituted pyrazoles and isochromenes, was developed. Selective O‐benzylation of CF3‐substituted pyrazolones and subsequent Pd‐catalyzed direct C–H arylation generate a fused tricycle. For the synthesized compounds through‐space 13C–19F spin–spin coupling was revealed. In addition, the synthesis of three thioisochromene analogues, and one isocoumarin derivative, was accomplished.
Traffic in urban areas has led to environmental noise pollution. However, traffic is not only source of noise, so environmental noise is referred to as a communal noise, which is combination of several sources. All sources may lead to consequences on human health such as: stress, tinnitus, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases and death in extreme cases. In this regard, ambient sound levels were measured at 19 locations in the city of Belgrade, during the winter and summer period. The aim of this paper is to show ambient sounds level as an indicator of urban road safety, based on which it would be possible to complete the goals of creating cities suitable for the life of citizens.
