TECTONIC EVOLUTION OF TERRAINS BETWEEN THE DOM FELICIANO AND RIBEI-RA BELTS (SOUTHERN-BRAZIL). This paper discusses the tectonic interpretation of the late Pre-Cambrian to lower Paleozoic Terrains of the states of Paraná and Santa Catarina in southern Brazil. The abandoning of the term "Median Joinville Massif" is proposed. It is substituted by three tectonic units recognised hi this region: Curitiba Microplate (north), Luís Alves Microplate (south) and Costeiro Granitoid Belt (east). Lithological, geochcmical and gcochronological data obtained in these terrains confirm their differences and allow the separation of the three units proposed whose agglutination took place during the Brasiliano and Rio Doce Orogenies between 650 and 550 Ma ago produced by subductions and collisions related to the assemblage of Gondwana.RESUMO Este trabalho apresenta uma interpretação da evolução geotectônica de terrenos pré-cambrianos a eopaleozóicos situados entre os Cinturões Ribeira (norte) e Dom Feliciano (sul), nos Estados do Paraná e Santa Catarina.

Abstract Deformation pos-paleozoic registry in Amazon Basin, Itaituba (PA) region. The Ama-zon Basin has an area of approximately 500.000 km 2 covering part of the states of Pará and Amazonas. The region studied is located in the southwest portion of the basin (near of Itaituba -PA city) and contains sedimentary rocks of the Fanerozoic cover and the basement in the Amazon Central Province. Structural analysis consisted of multiscale analysis and integration of images analysis (recognition of morphotectonics features in images SRTM, using data from aeromagnetometria) and using data from the field to determine structural framework and define the stages of post-paleozoic strain that hit the area. From the data of failures and systems of joints, shear zones, slickenside and steps found in outcrops, were developed the structural and kinematic analysis. The application of the method to determin the paleostress could to set the posit...
ABSTRACT:In the Paleoproterozoic Transamazonas Province, synkinematic granitogenesis has taken place synchronously with compressive tectonic stress. The synkinematic character of the granites is marked by their WNW elongate shape, and by the presence of pervasive and concordant synmagmatic foliation. Ductile shear zones are concordant to the previous regional WNW structures, and tend to be accommodated along contacts between Rhyacian synkinematic granitoids and both Archean orthogneisses and Siderian metabasites. Locally phyllonitic shear zones and brittle-ductile shear zones with cataclasites are oriented subparallel to the preexisting ductile foliation. Late orogenic brittle faults N30E-trending strike-slip faults are either sinistral or destral. 40
