Proses pembelajaran di SMP Negeri 3 Soe, masih menerapkan pembelajaran yang bersifat teacher center, serta kurangnya fasilitas belajar IPA. Hasil 75% siswa belum mencapai KKM (kriteria ketuntasan minimum), maka dari itu dilakukan penelitian tentang pengaruh model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI) berbantuan media gambar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini mengambil sampel kelas VIII1 sebagai kelas kontrol, dan kelas VIII2 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Sebelum diberikan model GI pada kelas eksperimen dilakukan uji kesamaan rata-rata untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal kedua sampel tersebut. Hasil kesamaan uji rata-rata berdasarkan analisis SPSS, menggunakan independen sample t-test menunjukan nilai signifikan 0,45>0.05 dan uji homogenitas menunjukan bahwa 0,847>0.05 yang berarti sebaran data antara dua kelompok sampel sama secara statistik. Dengan demikian, kedua kelas tersebut dapat dilaksanakan penelitian dengan penerapan model GI pada kelas eksperimen. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah one sample t-test untuk mengetahui ketuntasan belajar siswa. Independen sample t-test untuk mengetahui rata-rata prestasi siswa pada kelas eksperimen apabila dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Paired sample t-test untuk mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa setelah diberikan model GI. Uji regresi untuk mengetahui pengaruh model GI terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil uji ketuntasan menunjukan nilai t-hitung 14.877> t tabel 1.76131. diketahui juga, bahwa uji ketuntasan individual menunjukan nilai sig 0.000<0.005 sehingga hipotesis diterima. Artinya rata-rata prestasi siswa melampaui KKM yang ditetapkan yaitu 70. Hasil uji peningkatan rata-rata prestasi kelas eksperimen menunjukan Nilai sig < 0,05 sehingga ada perbedaan antara kelas control dan kelas eksperimen yakni (52,58) dan sesudah perlakuan (86,55).
Abstrak: Kualitas Pendidikan di daerah tertinggal tidak dapat disamakan dengan pendidikan di daerah maju. Rendahnya kualitas pendidikan di Daerah tertinggal dapat disebabkan karena fasilitas pendidikan yang jauh lebih minim dari pada daerah maju, salah satunya adalah minimnya media pembelajaran. Rendahnya kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah menengah membuat kualitas input ke perguruan tinggi daerah setempat juga ikut rendah sehingga mahasiswa perlu mengejar keteritinggalan pengetahuan yang sudah terlewati. Peran pengajar dalam menghadapi masalah ini dapat di lakukan melalui desain model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan media sofware untuk mengefektifkan pembelajaran, salah satunya software geogebra. Hasil penelitian dalam menerapkan model Discovery Learnig berbantuan Geogebra menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah setelah terjadi proses pembelajaran, terjadinya ketuntasan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah mahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan model Discovery learning berbantuan Geogebra lebih baik dari mahasiswa yang diajarkan dengan model konvensional. Kata kunci: Discovery learning, Pemecahan Masalah, GeogebraAbstract: The quality of education in remote areas is really different from the quality of education in developed areas. There are many factors cause the low quality of education in remote areas. One important factor that influences the low quality of education is lacking of learning media. The lack of learning media in senior high school causes the input quality to college or higher education (university) in these areas (remote areas) also low that make the student left behind in getting knowledge. The role of teachers in facing this problem is done by designing problem based learning media using software. One of the learning media is geogebra software. The result of the study in applying discovery learning model through geogebra showed that there was a significant ability improvement of problem solving after learning process. The ability improvement in solving the mathematics' problems of the students who are taught by using geogebra learning media is better than those who are taught using conventional learning model.
Community service activity aimed to provide an understanding of mathematical concepts consists of tips and tricks to solve exam questions for junior high school students. Furthermore, the background of the implementation of this training is to get students used to solve non-routine problems found during national examination, particularly in mathematics subject. This community service was carried out from October to November 2019 with 15 participants. This activity consists of three stages starting with the field assessment, the implementation stage and the last is final stage. In the field assessment stage, the servant determines the trainees to work national examination questions quickly and accurately that is specifically for junior high school students and determine where training will be held. The second stage is the implementation stage for exposuring to rapid strategies in administering national examination, question and answer, and national examination simulation. The final stage is the evaluation stage that is an implementation evaluation of theactivities that have been arranged based on each task that has been given .Based on the training activity that have been carried out it can be concluded that the training activity adds the knowledge and skills of students in working mathematics national examination questions. In addition, this training motivates students to be more active in learning mathematics and to be more mature in preparing for the upcoming national examination. Making a class schedule becomes problem and takes a long time because of several obstacles such as the lack of lecture rooms, the lack of teaching staff, and the high of courses available in one semester. This study aims to apply genetic algorithms in making class schedules to facilitate the process of making class schedules. The method used is the waterfall method with the stages of the Software Development Life Cycle. The results of the application of genetics application show that the process of making course schedules can overcome the constraints of 1) space and time clashes, 2) lecturer conflicts, 3) Friday prayer times clashing, 4) there is a time when the lecturer wants for certain reasons, and 5) practicum in the laboratory room. By passing these constraints, the application of genetic algorithms in course scheduling is categorized as effective. Based on the results of running on 51 lecturers (51 chromosomes), the average running time 30 times in a row is 25.86 minutes so that the use of genetic algorithm applications in scheduling courses is efficient.
One of the learning media in the network that is often used in addressing various learning problems during the Covid-19 pandemic is the use of google classroom media. The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of google classroom media in discrete mathematics learning in terms of learning outcomes. The type of research conducted is quasi experiment research to see the consequences of a treatment by comparing the learning outcomes of two class groups (independent class) or two time groups with the same class (dependent class). The research design is applied using one group pretest-posttest design. The samples in this study were all the fourth semester class A students who took discrete mathematics courses at the S1 level of the Mathematics Education Study Program of the Faculty of Education, Timor University which consisted of 40 students. Sample data was processed with descriptive analysis and average difference test using paired sample t test and N-Gain Score. The research results showed that learning outcomes by using google classroom media is quite effective based the students’ test results. The students’ learning outcomes after learning by applying google classroom media were higher than students’ learning outcomes before learning by applying google classroom media.
