Contextual teaching and learning (CTL) become learning that can empower pupils' cognitive learning achievement. The research objective was to enhance pupils' cognitive learning achievement (CLA) using the CTL approach. The classroom action research by Kemmis and McTaggart was used in this research. The subjects of this study were pupils of grade IV SDK Doreng, Doreng District, Sikka Regency. Participant research was ten pupils' (three boys, seven girls). Ten multiple-choice tests were used for the evaluation of each cycle. Analysis of data was quantitatively and percentage—five categories for student CLA. The success indicator is based on a score of 65 and classical completeness of 85%. The results showed that the activity of pupils and teachers in the first cycle was low. This finding was followed by not achieving completeness, where only 70% of pupils completed. The second cycle findings inform that pupils' and teacher activities were excellent, followed by classical completeness, reaching 100%. This action research concludes that CTL can improve pupils' CLA. This research recommends using CTL in the future to enhance pupils' CLA.
ABSTRAKIndonesia kerap menghadapi berbagai macam bencana yang datang silih berganti. Gempa bumi, tsunami, banjir, longsor, gunung meletus dan Kebakaraan kerap terjadi di Indonesia. Hal ini disebabkan oleh kondisi geografis Indonesia khususnya propinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur Kabupaten Ende yang sangat rawan bencana. Potensi bencana di Kabupaten Ende sangat besar karena kondisi geografis, geologis, hidrologis, dan demografis yang sangat berperan dalam terjadinya bencana. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah bagaimana partisipasi kepedulian Mahasiswa program mata kuliah Pramuka Prodi PGSD Universitas Flores terhadap korban bencana alam kebakaran rumah adat di desa Ngelaa .Hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa bagaimana perhatian dan kepedualian mahasiswa untuk membantu sesama umat manusia yang terkenah musibah bencana Alam Kebakaran Rumah Adat di Desa Ngella, Masyarakat juga mendapatkan Santun untuk keperluan mereka yang mengalami musibah,karena kepedulian Mahasiswa inisiatif untuk mengalang dana untuk mengurangi beban yang di alami masyarakat Rumah adat Desa Nggela. Earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, landslides, volcanic eruptions and fires often occur in Indonesia. This is due to the geographical condition of Indonesia, especially the province of East Nusa Tenggara, Ende Regency which is very prone to disasters. The potential for disaster in Ende Regency is very large because of the geographical, geological, hydrological and demographic conditions that play a big role in the occurrence of disasters. The purpose of this activity is how the participation of students in the Scout program of the PGSD Study Program at the University of Flores towards victims of natural disasters from the fire of a traditional house in Ngelaa village. The results of community service activities show that the attention and concern of students to help fellow human beings who are hit by natural disasters Fire of the Traditional House in Ngella Village, the community also gets Santun for the needs of those who experience disaster, because of the student's concern for the initiative to raise funds to reduce the burden experienced by the community of the Nggela Village traditional house. The pride of being a true Catholic has gone down and also has been the symptom among the Catholic students nowadays. The feeling of the Catholicsm with various of special charachteristics and uniqueness has not enchanted and made the Catholic students proud anymore. They were bored and were uninterested in reek of religion and spiritual as well. The Catholic students should become chief action or chief moving spirit of the pivotal strength of the Church-life in the future, but to be pitfallen slowly or step by step in the crisis of identity of the prolonged Catholicsm. This crisis was caused by their unability to have a certain attitude critically and wisely, accompanied by a gale made the values of secularism that shook various kinds of order belief of the Catholic that has been handed down from one generation to the other. Let the situation has been walking without efforts to overcome it. This condition perhaps would like to destroy the future of the Catholic students. To reply the hindrances needed lots of people to participate actively to give guidance to the them in order to reach the right way. The institute of the highest education as well as the local church are a very important people who must be the right handmen of them. Both of the institutions have to be one mind and sharing in the same struggle to make yourselves appearance or present yourselves as a shepherd to search, to find, and to guide them as the Lambs who have lost their ways to the right ways. The cooperation between two institutions must bear various kinds of contextual activities as well as useful for developing attitude and individuality of them in the future. The activity of spiritual guidance can be done in preparation Parish of St. Marinus Puu’rere is the result of a concern apprehensive together in order to hand them in order that in the middle of a tremendous storm attacking the values of the terrific secularism, the catholic students remained proud of and militant to spout the characteristic of their catholicsm as the light candle for a lot of people through thought, words, and acts which they have done.
The purpose of this research is to know the application of Problems Based Learning Strategy that can improve learning outcomes of Social studies on Class. IV Students at SDI. Onekore 4. This type of research is a classroom action research. The research subjects are Class IV student at SDI Onekore 4 that amount of 19 people. As for this research data is obtained by using test, Observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate an increase of learning outcomes on social subject after applied problem based learning strategies. This matter can seeing at increasing of presentation classical learning outcomes. in condition pracycles 21.05%, cycles I up to be 42.10% and on cycle II goes up to be 100%. The results of this study can be used as an alternative in the selection of learning strategies.
The study was to know the improvement of students learning activities by using active learning method by the application of Team Quiz. The study was a classroom action research. The subject was 22 students from grade IV SDI Bhoanawa 1. The data collection was conducted through observation, field note and interview. The result showed the improvement of students learning activities. It was proved by the percentage score of the activities in cycle I for 62% with category 'quite active' and 76 % in cycle II with category 'active'. This community service aims to increase the knowledge and competence of high school teachers in one of the 3T areas in compiling classroom action research (CAR) reports. This service method used training with stages, namely assistance in making proposals, choosing the right model in implementing classroom action research and designing learning activities and tools. These service partners were junior and senior high school teachers in Nangapanda Ende District, NTT. The instrument for evaluating this activity used a pretest, and the posttest was analyzed descriptively. This service showed that the teachers' insight increased in preparing class action research reports, and they better understood the stages in the CAR implementation process. These namely teachers were able to understand knowledge about CAR from the four indicators that were the focus of this training, including the steps for implementing CAR, the systematics of writing/composing CAR, success indicators, data analysis, and CAR implementation instruments. Implementing this training activity provides a good understanding of teachers' understanding and professional competence regarding the importance of carrying out CAR.
