Abstract. Currently and in recent years several international initiatives specifically oriented to put together small and medium enterprises, processes and agile methods have been identified. Likewise, different studies have identified the mapping between agile methodologies and software development process models like CMMI-DEV and ISO/IEC 12207, but the studies related to ISO/IEC 12207 are based on the 1995 version. Therefore this work focuses on the relationship between agile practices, especially SCRUM, and a process subset from the 2008 version of the ISO/IEC 12207 standard. SCRUM is one of the most popular agile methods and is an incremental iterative process. These two characteristics mean dividing the project into phases or iterations and incremental delivery of the project. The relationships indicated in the work are obtained from the analysis of previous works and consulting experience at 25 enterprises that comply with the standard outcomes implementing agile methodologies. The main purpose of the study is to know the extent to which agile practices help in the implementation of practices indicated in this process model.
Wildland fires have been a rising problem on the worldwide level, generating ecological and economic losses. Specifically, between wildland fire types, uncontrolled fires are critical due to the potential damage to the ecosystem and their effects on the soil, and, in the last decade, different technologies have been applied to fight them. Selecting a specific technology and Decision Support Systems (DSS) is fundamental, since the results and validity of this could drastically oscillate according to the different environmental and geographic factors of the terrain to be studied. Given the above, a systematic mapping was realized, with the purpose of recognizing the most-used DSS and context where they have been applied. One hundred and eighty-three studies were found that used different types of DSS to solve problems of detection, prediction, prevention, monitoring, simulation, administration, and access to routes. The concepts key to the type of solution are related to the use or development of systems or Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the computer science area. Although the use of BA and Big Data has increased in recent years, there are still many challenges to face, such as staff training, the friendly environment of DSS, and real-time decision-making.
The transparency of electronic procedures has become an important strategy to reduce corruption within state organizations and thus promote the sustainable and efficient management of fiscal resources, vital elements in the development of a country. E-government processes have become an important line of development, in which substantial investments have been made to have processes that allow for transparency in a large part of the country’s activities, specifically in the contracting and purchasing of public properties and services. The objective of the study is to present an overview of the work on initiatives that have been used around transparency and electronic procedures of electronic governments to identify which of these initiatives are associated with transparency and which effectively apply to electronic procedures for transparency to learn how these procedures allow for sustainable development of governments. The methodology used in this work was a systematic mapping of the literature, and the main findings suggest that this is a little-explored area.
