El objetivo del presente trabajo es explicar la reestructuración industrial argentina acontecida entre los años 1980-1998, según dos cambios globales: por una parte, bajo el proceso de internacionalización productiva (1970-2000), y por otra parte bajo el contexto neoliberal y de competencia coercitiva en Argentina (1991-2001). Para esto por un lado se realiza una comprensión de los conceptos de internacionalización productiva, neoliberalismo y competencia coercitiva ajustados al caso de estudio. Por otra parte, se propone un examen descriptivo de la competitividad industrial en el mundo, y de las transformaciones dadas en la industria argentina a nivel general, intersectorial y microeconómico. De esta manera se evidencia cómo frente al crecimiento industrial localizado en países de Asia, y la continuidad en importancia de los países centrales, se crean rezagos competitivos en Argentina dando como resultado una reestructuración productiva. Se concluye cómo este proceso alcanza su afianzamiento en la fase de crecimiento neoliberal (1993-1998) por la internacionalización, concentración, y especialización de la producción como parte de un fenómeno global.
En Argentina entre los años 1980-2011 las producciones de aceite y harina de soja crecieron a tal punto de convertirse en las más importantes del mundo. Bunge, Cargill y Dreyfus van terminar liderando la competencia en este rubro por las tácticas desarrolladas en los tres países más productivos: Argentina, Brasil y EE.UU. El objetivo de este trabajo es comprender las estrategias realizadas por estas corporaciones en los tres países de referencia para explicar la formación de una posición competitiva única en Argentina basada en la integración vertical. Se aplican métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos mediante un análisis teórico y descriptivo del contexto mundial y local.
Varias discusiones han tenido lugar en relación a la acumulación industrial argentina desde la etapa neoliberal (denominada también como "convertibilidad") hasta su ruptura en la etapa de posconvertibilidad. Las discusiones se ordenan en torno a si entre ambos lapsos se han manifestado cambios estructurales significativos en el perfil industrial predominante -según la preponderancia en la elaboración de commodities industriales-o si, por el contrario, existen más continuidades. En el presente estudio se contribuye a los mencionados debates examinando la industria, por un lado bajo la dinámica de acumulación de los sectores que la integran, y por otro, según un modelo insumo producto. A su vez, con el objetivo de estudiar las características del crecimiento de las manufacturas en la posconvertibilidad y de establecer comparaciones con la convertibilidad, se diferencian las fases de incremento acumulativo de las fases de crisis y recuperación. Este estudio se incorpora desde este enfoque a las tesis que sostienen las continuidades persistentes en ambas etapas.

En este estudio se comprenden las estrategias de las principales empresas locales en el periodo 2003-2018: Grupo Roemmers, Grupo Bagó, Elea, Casasco, Baliarda y Raffo. Se busca explicar el proceso por el cual estas corporaciones transformaron la industria farmacéutica argentina desplazando a las empresas multinacionales, y los límites que presenta su desarrollo respecto al sistema de salud argentino. Para esto se evalúa de manera novedosa, por una parte, como los cambios del sector a nivel mundial condicionaron la forma de competencia en Argentina. Por otra parte, utilizando una metodología descriptiva y conceptos específicos del tema, se estudian las estrategias más importantes llevadas a cabo por los laboratorios argentinos a nivel local y regional, examinando sus porfolios de medicamentos, los acuerdos comerciales, sus estructuras productivas, las patentes en el país, entre otros aspectos.
