Abstrak Tulisan ini mengkaji Tafsir Alqur’anul Karim Nurul Huda karya Mudhar Tamim (1916-2000). Fokus yang akan dibahas dalam tulisan ini adalah sejarah singkat kajian Al-Qur’an di Madura, aspek metodologis tafsir, dan kritik yang dilontarkan Mudhar Tamim terhadap beberapa tradisi sosial-keagamaan masyarakat Madura. Melalui pendekatan hermeneutis, kesimpulan kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa Tafsir Alqur’anul Karim Nurul Huda telah memberikan nuansa baru dalam sejarah kajian Al-Qur’an di Madura. Secara historis, tafsir tersebut termasuk kajian AlQur’an pertama yang penulisannya menggunakan aksara Latin, baik dalam bentuk terjemahan maupun tafsir. Dari sisi metodologi, Mudhar Tamim menempuh dan menerapkan metode tahlīlī. Melalui penjelasan panjang lebar (analitis) ini muncul corak fikih dan sosial kemasyarakatan. Pada beberapa kesempatan, Mudhar Tamim melayangkan kritik-konstruktif terhadap tradisi taklid buta dan praktik tarekat yang sedang berkembang. Sebagai salah satu tafsir karya muslim Nusantara, tafsir tersebut penting untuk ditelaah karena mampu memberikan kontribusi, minimal untuk pengayaan literatur dan wacana seputar tafsir Al-Qur’an di Nusantara.
This article points to review one the Quranic interpretationwritten by Muhammad Irsyad. This interpretation which he called Tapsèr Sorat Yaa-siin (Bha>sa Madhura>) almost disappear in the middle of the Quranic interpretationdiscussions in Indonesia. Basically, there is no much different to other ordinary interpretation, both in terms of writing, presentation of the systematic or the method used. This interpretation was written in Madurese language in the Latin script and typed by the typewriter. As for verses, written by handwriting. The method used in this interpretation is the maud}u>‘i@ surah method, while Surah Yasin as the focus of interpretation. Tapsèr Sorat Yaa-siin (Bha>sa Madhura>) has two nuances (type), those are the scientific and social type. During the interpretation process, Muhammad Irshad utilized the scientific perspective to uncover the scientific Quran and at the same time to respond several mythologies that is still rooted in Madurese society. According to Irsyad’s view, the Quran not only acts as a guide, but also as a source of all knowledge. It is not only sacred, but also scientific. Humans should use their minds to uncover scientific messages contained in the Quran.
This article examines the scientific interpretations in the book Tapsèr Sorat Yaa-siin (Bhāsa Madhurā) by Muhammad Ershad. The presence of this Madurese interpretation has complemented a series of Nusantara’s Qur’anic exegesis which has a tendency towards scientific nuances. Therefore, it is important to study the Qur’anic exegesis of cultural observers as a form of safeguarding one of the treasures of Qur’anic exegesis works in Indonesia, especially those with local languages. This study will only focus on scientific interpretations that are astronomical. This study find out, the astronomical interpretations of the Tapsèr Sorat Yaa-siin (Bhāsa Madhurā) has four broad themes; the solar system, the sun's dimming process, the creation of the universe, and the solar and lunar eclipses. During the interpretation process, Muhammad Ershad adopted a lot of information contained in the scientific discipline of astronomy. Apart from that, he also displayed his own drawings to make the reader easier in understanding the explanation he provided. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memotret bagaimana resepsi komunitas muslim di pondok pesantren Congaban terhadap kehadiran al-Quran. Congaban termasuk salah satu pondok pesantren yang kental dengan nuansa dan citarasa al-Quran. Di sana, al-Quran hidup dan menyatu dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakatnya. Kajian ini termasuk penelitian living Quran, menggunakan metode kualitatif dan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, tipologi resepsi masyarakat pesantren Congaban terhadap al-Quran dapat dipetakan menjadi tiga; 1) pecinta yang membuktikan cintanya dengan cara terus menerus membaca dan menghafal al-Quran; 2) pecinta yang menyatakan cintanya secara estetis, baik melalui seni membaca al-Quran (irama) dan seni menulis al-Quran (kaligrafi); 3) pecinta yang mengekspresikan cintanya dengan mengungkap keistimewaan (fadhilah) dan pesan moral al-Quran. Ketiga tipologi tersebut pada gilirannya membentuk atau menciptakan praktik dan tradisi tertentu, di antaranya adalah tradisi tahfidz al-Quran, pengajian tafsir al-Quran (Jalalain), kaligrafi al-Quran dan Khatmil Quran. Makna dan ekspektasi masyarakat pondok pesantren Congaban dalam meresepsi kehadiran al-Quran cukup beragam, yang dapat diamati dari perspektif kultural, teologis, prikologis, dan filosofis. Makna dan ekspektasi yang muncul dari sekian bentuk resepsi terhadap al-Quran tersebut adalah sebagai sebuah kewajiban menjaga dan memuliakan al-Quran, dalam rangka beribadah, ekspresi cinta, bentuk ketaatan, mendatangkan rezeki, ngalap berkah dan lain-lain.
In the circle interpretation of the Quran, Muqātil Bin Sulaymān is not a unusual name. He was one of narrators of Isrā’īliyyāt from Tabi' al-Tabi'in. One of his works, Tafsir al-Kabīr, is constantly used as a representation of interpretations which are full of nuances of Isrā’īliyyāt. This tafsir is also famous as TafsirMuqātil bin Sulaymān. During his life, many negative accusations were addressed to him. This accusation caused the passiveness of Muslim scholars to examine Tafsir al-Kabīr. Despite the many negative accusations he received, Muqātil’s expertise in the field of Quranic study could not be doubted. Ahlu Hadith agree to dismiss every hadith narrated by Muqātil. However, in the caseof narration in the story of Isrā’īliyyāt, it seems that it prevailed the dismissal. This can be proven by the many interpretations that quote the narration of Muqātil.
