Os sistemas fotovoltaicos conectados à rede convertem diretamente a energia solar em energia elétrica entregando à rede elétrica de distribuição uma energia limpa e renovável. Esses sistemas são formados, basicamente, por um conjunto de módulos fotovoltaicos e inversores que são responsáveis por converterem energia elétrica em corrente contínua em energia elétrica em corrente alternada. Este trabalho apresenta um estudo de características elétricas de inversores utilizados em sistemas conectados à rede a partir de uma análise teórica e experimental. Os ensaios de inversores foram realizados no Laboratório de Energia Solar (LABSOL) da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) onde foi utilizado um sistema fotovoltaico de 4,8 KW p e dez modelos de inversores de diferentes fabricantes. As características elétricas de inversores, que foram medidas e analisadas, são eficiência de conversão de corrente contínua em corrente alternada. O trabalho apresenta as curvas de eficiência dos inversores e médias ponderadas de eficiência são utilizadas como parâmetro Recebido em 11/07/2013-Aceito em 03/02/2014.
Para realizar uma simulação confiável de um sistema fotovoltaico é fundamental conhecer as características elétricas e térmicas de cada componente e desenvolver modelos matemáticos que descrevam o funcionamento do sistema. Este trabalho apresenta um modelo matemático para descrição do comportamento da eficiência c.c./c.a. de inversores utilizados em sistemas fotovoltaicos e que foi obtido a partir de resultados de ensaios experimentais. O modelo matemático apresentado pode ser utilizado em programas computacionais de simulação. Os ensaios foram realizados no Laboratório de Energia Solar (LABSOL) da Universidade Federal do Rio grande do Sul (UFRGS) onde foram utilizados dez modelos de inversores de três fabricantes e no Laboratório de Energia Solar Fotovoltaica do Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT) onde foram utilizados sete modelos de inversores de cinco fabricantes. A partir da comparação entre as curvas medidas e as curvas teóricas de cada característica elétrica e térmica previstas pelo modelo matemático proposto foram determinados coeficientes que representam cada inversor medido e que devem ser inseridos no banco de dados do software.
