Agro-tourism is a combination of tourism and farming activities that can be a solution to increase farmer income beyond production quantity’s value. Excellent service quality is the first step to agrotourism success. Therefore, this study analyses the Kampoeng Kopi Banaran agro-tourism’s service quality. The SERVQUAL, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), and Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) methods are applied to estimate the service quality performance. Results suggest that Kampoeng Kopi Banaran agrotourism’s service quality is unsatisfactorily by the SERVQUAL method. On the other hand, the IPA method measures that there are five attributes in quadrant I (keep up the good work), five attributes in quadrant II (concentrate here), six attributes in quadrant III (low priority), and seven attributes in quadrant IV (possible overkill). The CSI method found out that customers are not satisfied with the agro-tourism service. It is necessary to improve the service quality by the provision of science and technology that facilitates visitors to learn and understand more about the environment and processes within this agro-tourism site.
The purpose of this study is to know the existing conditions and to identify need of assesements for Sub Terminal Agribisnis INTISARIStudi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi existing dan need of assesements Sub Terminal Agribisnis (STA) Tempel di Kabupaten Sleman. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi langsung dan focus group discussion (FGD) serta studi dokumen dari instansi terkait. Kondisi existing STA Tempel dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif, sedangkan need of assesements STA Tempel dianalisis dengan SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa STA Tempel belum mampu melaksanakan fungsinya secara optimal dan manfaatnya belum dirasakan petani. Peningkatan kinerja STA Tempel dilakukan dengan peningkatan fungsi pemasaran komoditas pertanian; integrasi dengan kegiatan perdagangan lain; pengembangan promosi produk; optimalisasi fungsi sumber daya manusia (SDM) pengelola dan anggota; membangun sarana dan prasarana modern; dan optimalisasi peran STA sebagai pusat pelatihan dan pendidikan. PENDAHULUANMenurut Badan Agribisnis Departemen Pertanian, selama ini pemasaran bidang pertanian mempunyai mata rantai yang panjang, mulai dari petani, pedagang pengumpul, pedagang besar sampai konsumen, sehingga keuntungan yang diperoleh petani relatif kecil. Di sisi lain, konsumen harus membayar lebih mahal dari harga yang selayaknya karena setiap lembaga mengambil keuntungan dalam proses pemasaran. Fluktuasi harga produk pertanian di tingkat petani lebih tinggi daripada harga di tingkat konsumen (Susanawati, Jamhari, Masyhuri & Darwanto, 2015). Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pemasaran dan nilai tambah petani adalah dengan mengembangkan infrastruktur pemasaran seperti Sub Terminal Agribisnis (STA).Berdasarkan konsep Badan Agribisnis Departemen Pertanian, STA sebagai infrastruktur pemasaran diharapkan bermanfaat untuk lima aspek. Pertama, STA memperlancar kegiatan dan meningkatkan efisiensi pemasaran komoditas agribisnis karena mencakup sebagai pusat transaksi hasil-hasil agribisnis;
Food waste is one of the important problems faced by households because it is related to the availability of food in the community. In addition, food wastage is suspected to be closely related to the ineffective and inefficient of food consumption management. This study aims to determine food consumption management, food waste and the effect of food consumption management on food waste in four major cities in Indonesia, namely Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Medan and Denpasar. The latent variable of food consumption management is reflected by four indicators, they are food planning, processing and storage, and food waste disposal. Meanwhile, the latent variable of food waste is reflected by three indicators, including opportunities for food wastage, knowledge about food wastage, and skills in managing food. Indicators in each latent variable is measured using a Likert scale. The data collection method is convenient sampling to get 150 households’ sample from the four big cities. Food consumption management and food waste were analysed descriptive qualitatively, while the effect of food consumption management on food waste was analysed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results showed that the food planning indicators on the latent variable of food consumption management were in the very good category, while the other three indicators, namely food processing, food storage and food waste disposal, were in good category. The three indicators on the latent variable of food waste consisting of opportunities for food waste, knowledge about food waste and food management skills are included in good category. Furthermore, the results of the study show that good management of food consumption has a positive and significant effect on the efforts to reduce food waste at the household level in four major cities in Indonesia.
