This study aims to describe: (1) implementation of a learning model center in the development of expressive language of early childhood, and (2) The factors that influence the development of early childhood expressive language in the center learning model. The method used is qualitative research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using: (1) Field observations to observe all activities carried out in TK Negeri 01 Tenggarong, (2) Methods of interviews conducted by teachers, students and principals of TK Negeri 01 Tenggarong, (3) Method of documentation, as supporting to obtain data in the field, and from the documentation / recording results are transcribed and grouped and then analyzed using a flow model, which starts with (a) data reduction, (b) data presentation, (c) conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the center learning model was instrumental in developing children's expressive language intelligence, because children can learn to communicate with other people in various ways, children are also able to express feelings, ideas with appropriate word choices when communicating (2) factors that influence the development of expressive language of early childhood in the center learning model are: health factors, intelligence factors, family socioeconomic status, gender, and family relationships.
The aims of this study were to analyze the senior high school student's written communication skills on the subject of chemical basic laws taught by using ELPSA (Experiences, Language, Picture, Symbols, and Application) learning design. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative. Subject of this research was 33 of 10 th grade science students at SMA Negeri 8 Samarinda, East Kalimantan, Indonesia that were chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The written communication skills were analyzed by using post-test. It consisted of (1) Ability to express ideas; (2) Ability to explain observation results; (3) Ability to communicate data processing and analysis; (4) Ability to conclude research results and to communicate the conclusions based on the data; (5) Ability to present the data in the form of tables, graphs, flowcharts and concept maps; (6) Ability to present figure of experiment equipment; (7) Ability to specify the research variables; and (8) Ability to present the model of relations with international symbols and standards. The results showed that the written communication skill of the subject research was 44.60, categorized as sufficient capability. Therefore, there should be further development and research to increase student ability on written communication.
This study aims to determine the learning of the cultivation of entrepreneurial values in children aged 5-6 years in TK Khalifah Samarinda and the obstacles experienced in the learning strategy of planting entrepreneurial values in children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten. Khalifah Samarinda. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data collected comes from interview scripts, field notes and documentation. The focus of this research relates to the activities of teachers and students in the TK Khalifah Samarinda. The results of this study indicate that the cultivation of entrepreneurial values in children aged 5-6 years is good enough and in accordance with children's needs. Embedded educational values are (1) market day (bazaar) activities (2) the values of independence that are embedded in children are very helpful to children in their daily habits, (3) discipline values, success here is very visible in children with seriousness in performing prayers and reciting, (4) the values of self-confidence, success in the form of courageous attitude to appear in public and not inferior to others show their leadership attitude, and (5) values of responsibility, success in the form of attitude that is always answer to what is done and done by each child. the conclusion in this study is that the teacher's approach to instilling entrepreneurial values in children aged 5-6 years in the TK Khalifah Samarinda has referred to the development of children, where they were not used to being independent, disciplined, confident and responsible now becoming accustomed to the values values that have been instilled by teachers at school and at home and the surrounding environment.
The research was intended to know how teacher devise learning of study tours method, to know expressive language skills (speaking) of children with applied method of study tours and to know supporting and inhibitor factors in its application. The research was dome in Darul Falah Ponpes Kindergarten Samarinda on 5-6 years old children in B2 class, with total of student was 13. The research was qualitative research, descriptive with case study approaching. In this research data was acquired using data collecting technic that was observation, interview and documentation. The result shown that (1) teacher devised learning with karyawisata method was establishing program of study tours learning, set the date and destination, permission request, planning implementation of study tours, giving the information to parents of students, preparation of teacher in the class, preparing of tools and material, funding, dividing preceptor group, assign the rules, praying, and explain students about the purpose that need to acquire from karyawisata; (2) expressive language skills (speaking) of children in B2 class with indicators was asking, answering, and retelling, achieving the result of growing as expected (BSH) ; (3) supporting factors was enthusiastic and student’s activeness, good teamwork between foundation, preceptors, parents, and owner of study tours spot, recalling activity in every study tours activity, and teacher’s activeness in giving referrals. While inhibitor factors are unpredictable weather, high cost, not all study tours spot has guide, limitation of time in study tours spot, and lack of exemplary in good language using when giving referrals.
Setiap orangtua tentu memiliki harapan yang terbaik untuk anaknya, akan tetapi berbagai kendala seperti kurangnya pemahaman terhadap tugas dan perkembangan anak menyebabkan mereka terkadang menjadi kurang tepat dalam menempatkan harapannya terhadap anak. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami pengharapan orangtua terhadap anaknya yang berusia pra sekolah. Penelitian kualitatif ini melibatkan 9 orang informan yang merupakan ayah atau ibu dari anak yang sedang duduk pada usia pra sekolah (TK Darul Atsar, Samarinda, Kalimantan Timur). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui daftar pertanyaan terbuka yang dijawab oleh informan secara tertulis. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis isi untuk kemudian dihasilkan tema-tema yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa harapan orangtua terhadap anak lebih banyak berkaitan dengan aspek kognitif dan aspek moralitas anak. Oleh itu diharapkan lembaga pendidikan anak usia dini dapat menjembatani antara harapan orangtua dan tugas perkembangan anak. Unfortunately, not every parent has sufficient knowledge about development task of children, so they sometime put inappropriate expectation for children. Therefore, this study aims to understand the parent's expectation for their preschool age child. This qualitative research involved nine (9) informants that are mother or father of preschool child (Darul Atsar kindergarden). Data collection was conducted using open-question list and answered by writtenly. Collected data then was analyzed using content analysis to emerge themes to answer the research question. The finding of this study show that almost parent's expectation related with the cognitive and morality aspects of the children. Therefore, early child education institution can bridge between the parent's expectation and the development task of the children.
