Doctors need to wear complete protective equipment when large numbers of patients flood into the emergency room. Taiwan has so far managed to prevent a large scale community outbreak, city forces wearing face masks on public transportation, and keep social distancing to stem the virus from spreading. The protective device may be contaminated and must be replaced. In the situation of limited resources, how to take care of the physiological needs of the doctor without increasing the chance of contamination during replacement is a consideration. By reducing the chance of contamination during removal and storage, the previous designs were analyzed and improved. We proposed three improved designs to reduce the contact. Design-A features a mask with a water channel that allows the user to remain hydrated without removing the cover. Design-B has a folding pattern that hides the outer surface. Design-C combines the mask with the brim of a cap which form. an extended air-intake area. Through understanding the problem, related product began distribute on the market, Design-D extends the mask usages period with less contact.
Complexity-based pattern recognition and diagnosis for engineering simulation system of HTR-PM are carried through analyzing 12 state parameters of the nuclear reactor. It is shown that the complexities and robustnesses of HTR-PM simulation system are remarkably discrepant in three different operating modes (normal operation, increased ambient temperature and sudden leakage in primary loop). The effectivenesses of coupling calculations and feedback of multi systems of the HTR-PM simulator are also embodied in system robustness. All these results demonstrate that the method of complexity and robustness can indicate the availability of different parameters for recognizing and diagnosing the operating conditions of the HTR-PM.
Structuring elements of fixed shape and size are used in most conventional mathematical morphology operations, which makes the border of image targets shift, produces new image artifacts and loses small image objects due to the diversity and complexity of the image targets. In this paper, a new construction algorithm for adaptive structuring elements is proposed based on the neighborhood gray difference changing vector field and relative density. The proposed structuring element is able to adaptively change shape according to the gray and edge characteristics of an image. This algorithm involves first incorporating the gray difference changing vector field to smooth the local image region and make the gray level within the image target more uniform and then defining a border degree function based on relative density to determine whether the center pixel of the local image region is a border pixel. The adaptive structuring element is composed of all the strong border pixels found in a local image region. Dilation and erosion operations and other derivative operations are proposed with this new adaptive structuring element based on conventional morphology operation principles. The experimental results show that this proposed algorithm is able to effectively suppress the shifting effect of the image target borders while accurately locating the border of the image target region. Additionally, other effective image information is retained and image distortion is reduced while weakening the image details. In this study, the authors propose a modified design of sequential card activities to recollect experience for the elderly with Dementia. The cards and App were designed to complement each other for Nostalgia-based support. Image and text are utilized to trigger memories that bring out shared experience from the patient. By using suitable trigger elements, group sharing, and physical objects, one can enhance the memory recall. The procedure of rice dumpling preparation and making were listed in a sequential step and printed on cards. Cards are shuffled, and the elderly are asked to sort these cards to right sequence with the help of QR scanner. In multiple theme scenarios, different groups of object making steps were mixed, and the player needs to select cards that related to a specific group. Using actual items and activities, the triggered of elder's experience was confirmed. The qualitative testing results showed that the elderly enjoyed the activities. Those events verified the effectiveness of the proposed method.
