RESUMOObjetivo: avaliar o conhecimento da equipe de enfermagem neonatal acerca da Síndrome de Burnout. Método: estudo qualitativo e exploratório realizado com 23 profissionais de enfermagem, que atuam nas unidades de neonatologia de uma maternidade pública, localizada no município de João Pessoa. Para a coleta do material empírico foram aplicados um questionário e um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada, com Análise de Conteúdo e construção de eixos temáticos. Resultados: o material empírico indicou o perfil da equipe de enfermagem que cuida de neonatos e os seguintes eixos temáticos foram observados: profissionais de saúde e o acometimento por Burnout; sobrecarga de trabalho e o risco de Burnout; esgotamento físico e estresse; Burnout e as consequências para a saúde dos trabalhadores. Conclusão: conclui-se que este trabalho servirá de suporte para auxiliar na indispensabilidade de disseminação do conhecimento sobre a Síndrome de Burnout, com destaque para a enfermagem, já que grande parte dos profissionais de saúde não conhece essa patologia. Conclusión: se concluye que este trabajo servirá de soporte para auxiliar en la indispensabilidad de diseminación del conocimiento sobre el Síndrome de Burnout, con destaque para la enfermería, ya que gran parte de los profesionales de salud no conoce esa patología. Introduction: The pressure ulcer is a persistent public health problem, with burden to patients, family and health institutions. Health professionals should have appropriate knowledge to ensure the effectiveness on preventing of these injuries and treat them properly when they happen. Objectives: Describing the knowledge of nursing professionals about prevention of pressure ulcers and analyzing their opinion on the same. Methodology: It is characterized as an exploratory, descriptive and quantitative study conducted from January to June 2015, in a University Hospital; approved by the Ethics Committee of the institution. For data collection it was used the Pieper knowledge test and questions about opinions of professionals referring to the thematic. Results: The study subjects were 32 nurses and 37 assistants/nursing technicians. The results showed approximate averages of correct answers in the general context of the knowledge test among nurses (75.60%) and assistants/nursing technicians (76.29%). It was found out that those professionals recognize the importance of preventing the injury, assure to be performed in the units where they work, but mention difficulties. Conclusion: There were identified knowledge gaps about the pressure ulcer and its prevention, in both professional categories, which should be considered when planning strategies for staff training.
Objetivos: Caracterizar as úlceras do pé diabético de pacientes atendidos em um ambulatório e investigar qual o tratamento dispensado a estas lesões. Métodos: Estudo descritivo com abordagem quantitativa, realizado no ambulatório de um hospital universitário, tendo como sujeitos, 56 pacientes. Para a coleta de dados foi utilizado um roteiro abordando dados sociodemográficos e clínicos, dados de caracterização e de tratamento das úlceras do pé diabético. Resultados: A faixa etária dos indivíduos variou de 38 a 84 anos. Verificou-se que 40 (71,4%) tinham histórico familiar de diabetes. Quanto a classificação da ferida, 27 (34,6%) apresentavam a lesão na fáscia plantar e 20 (35,7%) apresentavam esfacelo no leito da ferida. Em relação ao tratamento, em 45 (80,3%) das lesões foi utilizado ácidos graxos essenciais. Conclusão: Os resultados reforçam a importância da caracterização/avaliação das lesões para escolha de um tratamento eficaz, o que reduz a gravidade de complicações.
