Glass substrates which realize high out‐coupling efficiency OLEDs were developed. A scattering layer whose matrix was made of high refractive index glass was formed on a glass substrate. The out‐coupling efficiency of an OLED using this substrate is 1.8 times higher compared with an OLED using an untreated glass substrate.
Monolayers of n-pentanephosphonic or n-tetradecanephosponic acids are obtained by immersion of mechanically polished zinc substrates in solutions of either absolute ethanol or a mixture of water/ethanol (25/75%). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, contact angle and scanning Kelvin probe measurements indicate that both compounds lead to good-quality monolayers and the longer alkyl chain n-tetradecanephosponic acid molecules form the more densely packed films. However, the best films (n-tetradecanephosponic acids) do not show any resistance to electrochemical assays (polarization curves in NaOH and NaCl).
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
