Experimentelle Untersuchungen und klinische Beobachtungen 1 haben gezeigt, dab der VerschlnB groBer Zwerchfellticken, seien diese angeboren oder erworben, durch Einsetzen yon Kunststoffgewebe mSglich ist.Den bisherigen Erfahrungen zufolge scheinen groBmaschige 1Netze (Dacron, Mar]ex) der mechanischen Belastung bei der Implantation in Zwerchfelldefekten auf die Dauer nicht gewachsen zu sein und zu bersten. Deswegen wurden dichter gewebte Kunststoffpflaster benutzt.Da bei frfiheren Versuchen mit Teflon-Pflastern das Bindegewebe infolge der engmaschigen Webart nur unvol]st~ndig zwischen die einzelnen F~den sowie um weniger locker an der Peripherie liegende Fasern der Teflonfi~den eingedrungen war, sollen im folgenden die Bindegewebsreaktion, die Stiirke der Bindegewebsausbildung und die Intensit/~t der bindegewebigen Durchwachsung des Kunststoffes bei zwei Teflon-Pflastern verschiedener PorengrSBe untersucht und miteinander verglichen werden.
