Das Vorkommen der Malaria ist keineswegs nur auf di.3 eigentlichen Tropen beschrankt. Wer den Feldmg in Mazedonien mitgemacht hat, oder wer die groi3en Anstrengungen des italienischen Staates kennt, dieser Kraukheit Herr zu werden, wird ihre Bedeutung auch Abb. lt. Teilungsvorgang und Fieber hangen nun in der Weise zusammen, dai3 jedesmal kurz nach dem Hohepunkt des Teilungsvorganges beim Ausschwarmen der jungen Schizonten ins Blut ein neuer Fieberanfall eintritt. Neben den Schizonten werderi nun allmahlich noch an,dersartige Formen, nandich die G a m e t e 11 oder Halbmondformen der Malaria tropica gebildet, die die geschlechtlicheii Formen der Malaria darstellen.
