El aislamiento social involuntario por pandemia tiene consecuencias en todos los ámbitos sociales. El aislamiento social conlleva reacciones emocionales, comportamentales y psicológicas que pueden llevar al suicidio cuando las personas se sienten rebasadas y las expectativas sobre el futuro son catastróficas. Objetivo. Describir los estresores, cambio de rol, reacciones emocionales y riesgo de suicidio ante el aislamiento social por COVID-19 en estudiantes universitarios. Material y Método: Estudio cualitativo, descriptivo, exploratorio y transversal, con un muestreo por conveniencia. Participaron 1,186 estudiantes universitarios, la media de edad fue de 20 y DE 3.5, estado civil 94.8% solteros y 3.8% reportaron estar en una relación (casados o concubinato) y el 3.5% refirió que vive solo, 66.3% mujeres (n=786) y 33.7% hombres (n=400). Instrumento: cuestionario exprofeso para identificar variables sociodemográficas, emocionales, psicológicas, cambios de rol, consumo de alcohol y tabaco, prácticas de autocuidado para inferir para el riesgo de suicidio. Resultados: el 32.6% de los encuestados reportó que no tiene un plan de actividades que como mínimo incluya: trabajo académico, trabajo en casa, esparcimiento, hora para dormir y despertar. Se identificó que el 3.5 y el 6.4% aumentó el consumo de tabaco y alcohol respectivamente. El 47.5% refirió que al estar nuevamente con sus familias no se sienten integrados, se sienten frustrados, estresados, aburridos y como si no estuvieran en casa. Las emociones y sentimientos más frecuentes son: miedo, enojo, sensación de pérdida de control, tristeza, desorganización, sensación de encierro, aburrimiento, frustración y ansiedad, esto puede desencadenar ideación y conductas suicidas.
La educación virtual, el aislamiento y distanciamiento social han evidenciado las carencias y oportunidades de mejora en profesores y estudiantes. El objetivo de este estudio es describir la relación entre las estrategias de afrontamiento y el estrés que se produce durante las clases virtuales debido a la contingencia sanitaria por Covid-19 en estudiantes universitarios. Es una investigación cuantitativa, transversal, descriptiva y exploratoria. La muestra fue de 1,118 estudiantes; 66% fueron mujeres y 34% hombres, la edad media fue de 20.9 y DE de 3.24. El estado civil: 95% fueron solteros, 2.8% casados, 2% unión libre o concubinato y 0.3% divorciados. Resultados: 67.9% de los estudiantes reportaron niveles de estrés de medios a altos. Las mujeres presentaron mayores niveles de estrés, asimismo, reportaron mayores estrategias de respuesta que los hombres. Las estrategias utilizadas por las mujeres fueron la planeación y gestión de recursos personales y la búsqueda de apoyo; por su parte, los hombres utilizaron la reevaluación positiva, la planeación y gestión de recursos personales. Conclusión: las instituciones deberían implementar programas de afrontamiento del estrés y el desarrollo de habilidades para la vida de manera continua. La flexibilidad, empatía y la educación centrada en el estudiante pueden ser estrategias para afrontar el estrés en los estudiantes.
La responsabilidad social empresarial es un tema de suma importancia en la actualidad, ya que en él se abordan distintos aspectos sobre como las empresas se comportan y responden ante diferentes grupos de interés, de tal forma que con ello pueden ser o no empresas socialmente responsables donde esto último, las puede convertir en entes económicos de éxito que conjugan el compromiso de ser sustentables. Como objeto de estudio, se abordó el tema de cómo perciben la responsabilidad social empresarial los directivos de siete pequeñas empresas representativas del sector comercio ubicadas en Ciudad Guzmán, ciudad media ubicada en el municipio de Zapotlán el Grande, uno de los 28 municipios de mayor relevancia en el sur de Jalisco, y el grado de percepción del cumplimiento, con relación a las dimensiones ambiental, social y económica. La investigación fue de carácter exploratoria y descriptiva-explicativa para establecer los vínculos entre las tres dimensiones señaladas, estableciéndose superar el 50% de cumplimiento, que permita generar una gestión en armonía con todas las partes interesadas. El diseño fue no experimental con enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo de carácter correlacional-causal, para someter a prueba las hipótesis establecidas. Como principales conclusiones se tiene que este tipo de pequeñas empresas son fuentes de empleo que benefician a la región, teniendo en cuenta el desarrollo de sus comunidades, el cuidado del ambiente y el desarrollo económico, obteniéndose un promedio global del 74.6 %, que supera lo establecido, de tal manera que estas empresas realizan un aceptable porcentaje de actividades socialmente responsables.
