El escenario de pandemia actual reformula la pregunta sobre las “protecciones sociales” para las personas en este contexto. Proponemos recorrer históricamente desde el siglo XX hasta la actualidad las distintas formas de protección social en Argentina, analizando el papel del mundo del “trabajo” en dicho proceso. Asimismo, identificamos las políticas de transferencia de ingresos como la “Asignación Universal por Hijo” (AUH) y el “Ingreso Familiar de Emergencia” (IFE), las cuales se presentan como novedosas formas de “protección social”. Por último, recuperamos ciertos interrogantes que el contexto actual presenta y consideramos sus posibles articulaciones en el futuro inmediato.
El presente artículo tiene como objetivo reflexionar en torno a inquietudes que fueron suscitándose a raíz de las experiencias de nuestras defensas de tesis en el Doctorado en Trabajo Social de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario. A partir de las apreciaciones realizadas por parte del jurado, colegas Trabajadoras Sociales, se generaron intercambios informales que propiciaron la necesidad de objetivar ciertos interrogantes que circulan habitualmente en los debates profesionales. El eje sobre el cual giran los mismos responde a señalamientos en los dictámenes respecto de carencias en las tesis expuestas al no explicitar la mirada “disciplinar”, considerando que la misma debía ser recuperada como un apartado específico en el trabajo de investigación o, en su defecto, recomendar lineamientos para la práctica profesional. Así, utilizando dichos intercambios como activadores de discusiones nos preguntamos: ¿Cuáles son los objetos de conocimiento en Trabajo Social?, ¿Cuál es la utilidad de propiciar instancias de investigación y la consolidación de carreras de doctorado?, ¿Cuál es el “aporte” que la producción de conocimiento en Trabajo Social realiza al campo de las ciencias sociales? Este artículo esboza algunas hipótesis que pueden constituirse en insumos argumentativos para pensar dichos interrogantes.
