This paper discusses the architecture of a compact Data GRID cluster for teaching new methods of Big Data analytics in the Virtual Computer Lab. Its main destination is training highly qualified IT-professionals able to solve efficiently problems of distributed data storage and processing, drawing insights, data mining, and mathematical modeling based on these data. The Virtual Computer Lab was created and successfully operated by the experts of the System Analysis and Control Department at the Dubna State University in collaboration with the Laboratory of Information Technologies (Joint Institute for Nuclear Research).
The article discusses the results of a scientific project developing new methodological and technological approaches to the creation of geoinformation models for the purposes of waste and secondary resource management. The urgency and originality of the work are revealed, the goals and objectives of a geoinformation system, integrating a set of spatial information on the objects of the industry and on the key aspects of its development, are formulated. A description of the prototype of such system, implemented on the example of a pilot territory — the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, — is given.
The article discusses modern end-to-end digital technologies and the possibilities of their use in the geological industry in order to
improve the quality of data and operational work, to optimize the processes, to increase oil production, to shorten downtime and work execution time, and to reduce financial and other risks. The necessary requirements for the training or retraining of highly qualified specialists in the field of modern digital technologies in geology and subsoil use are also noted.
The article presents the concept of organization and the International school of nformation technologies "Data Science" functioning. IT-school was created in Dubna State University together with the Laboratory of information technology of the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. The educational program of the IT-school is detailed and describes the educational environment, which includes services for working with students and an ecosystem for conducting practical classes. The main principle of working with students — learning through research is revealed
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
