Kata kunci: Hemat energi operasional bangunan, Overall Thermal Transfer Value, Solar Control Glass, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient ABSTRACTIn accordance with the Green Building concept, building designs must pay attention to building operational energy savings. The greater the thermal load, the more wasteful the electricity consumption of the AC system. One way to reduce AC loads is to reduce external thermal loads, then choosing the type of solar control glass is a very important aspect. The method of analysis is done quantitatively. As a case study is Sei Gong Dam Management Office Building in Batam, and based on OTTV Calculator calculation an appropriate solar control glass alternative will be determined to meet the requirements with the maximum OTTV limit in Indonesia (45 Watt per square meter). The benefit of this research is to get input on selection of the right type of glass based on SHGC, in the case of office buildings. Keywords: Energy saving on building operation, Overall Thermal Transfer Value, solar control glass, Solar Heat Gain Coefficient
Global warming has become an important issue today, caused by the increasing demand for energy and humans lifestyle. To reduce the impact, more architects started to respond regarding environmental issues. The concept of green architecture promotes to solving this problem. Natural ventilation is the one of the concept green architecture. This research tends to look at the aspect of Thermal Comfort in naturally ventilated mosque buildings through the Thermal Bridges strategy. Naturally ventilated building tend to have better indoor air quality (IAQ), but worse thermal comfort. Therefore, this research investigates the range of acceptable temperature and calculate by BIM thermal bridge simulation to achieve thermal comfort for naturally ventilated mosque building. The method of analysis conducted is quantitative based on direct measurement of weather data and existing comfort conditions in the field, calculations, and simulations using Building Information Modeling (BIM). Data was collected through a field survey in Itenas Mosque Building and were used to develop and validate then using the BIM thermal bridge model for simulation. The data collected from field survey and in situ environmental measurement such as air temperature, relative humidity, and wind velocity. The thermal comfort prediction model was developed from statistical analysis of the field survey data. Based on the result of thermal Bridge simulation using BIM software required exchange material of the existing building to achieve thermal comfort. Indonesia has various of cultural heritages, both from local and immigrant culture. Gedung Negara, which previous called Residency Building, is one of the Dutch colonial government legacies in Cirebon city. Since its founding in 1865 until now this building has several times changed its name and function. This encourages various changes, additions, demolitions and transformations as an effort to adapt to new functions. The problem occurs if there is no context between new buildings and Gedung Negara as a cultural heritage building. This paper aims to determine the adaptation of architectural style of new buildings to Gedung Negara. By observing, a description of the function, form and architectural style of the new buildings around the Gedung Negara is obtained. Is there any architectural context betweem new buildings and Gedung Negara? How will the adaptation of these new buildings be? The architectural style context between new buildings and heritage buildings is highly recommended so that the new building can coexist in harmony with the cultural heritage building. It is hoped that the change of functions will not eliminate the uniqueness of the Indische Empire style and the Gedung Negara as a cultural heritage building in Cirebon city should be preserved well.
