Bidara Laut Plant, Ximenia americana L., is one of coastal vegetation that potentials to be expanded as various healthy drink innovative products and gives a promises to be expanded in the future due to its health benefits and has never been produced. The activity was conducted at Sarang and Mecan Islands, Sekanak Raya sub-district, Belakang Padang district, Batam, in companion with Sarang and Mecan “Kompang” Conservation group. The Activity was started from May up to October 2018. Implementation methods were counseling, training and production practices, demonstration plots, strengthening management and business development through Focus Group Discussion (FGD). This activity has succeeded in improving partner communities’ skills in making processed beverages and meals made of Bidara Laut and mangroves fruits. It was a new knowledge for the community in sustainable usage and environmental conservation, especially mangrove resources. Processed innovations types which produced were Bidara Syrup, Bidara Pudot, Bidara Fresh Drinks, Jeruju Stick, Jeruju Layer Cakes, and Komojo Sponge cake, which all these processed mangrove and Bidara products have own exclusivity and beneficial to health. For their sustainability guarantee, mangrove seedling and Bidar Laut X. americana farming were created together with partner community.
The objectives of this study are; (1) to formulate patterns of coding used in conversation texts of the English Zone textbook, 2) to investigate how coding are structured in conversation texts of the English Zone textbook, and 3) to reason why the coding techniques are used in conversation texts of the English Zone textbook. The data were taken from conversation texts of students’ English textbook: English Zone for senior high school students year grade XI (SMA). Descriptive qualitative method was used in this study. There were six conversation texts as the data source was taken from students’ English textbook: English Zone. The findings of this study shown that there are two types of patterns of coding in conversation texts, namely congruent and metaphorical coding. Congruent coding patterns are built in complete mood and residue (at least using mood) and metaphorical coding patterns are built in elliptical mood pattern. Mood and residue pattern is caused by the system of the conversation is using Proposition system. It means the conversation texts involve the statement and question, in another word, the content of the conversation dominantly are about giving and demanding information. It was found that conversation texts convey the simple structure of conversation which means to attract the readers or students to understand easier by using complete mood and residue and elliptical mood pattern of conversation text is in less number. Thus, those conversation text in English Zone textbook written in simple structures in case of language usage to make the message or information easier to understand. Machine Translation become as alternative to know the meaning of foreign language. Machine Translation was used to translate word, phrase, sentence, pharagraph. text translation was made as a general description and a consederation to get understanding. Machine Transalation can be used as dictionary, too. It is easier to find word by using Machine Translation rather than dictionary. The purpose of using it; to ensure the meaning, to know the meaning and to be more practice. But, Machine Translation leaded them to a confused situation, because sometimes the grammar and structure were different from what they knew and learned, so it made them confused deciding the correct one. The aims of this research are to find out the terms that are categorized as register used in Online shops community in social media. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative research where the writer describes holistically the use of the register by the online shops in facebook. The object of this research is the register used in online shops. Based on the analysis the researcher finds the data the result of the study show the total amount of register found in this research is 100 register in the found online shops facebook. There are 11 register identified as abbreviations, 13 for clippings, 3 coinages, 2 acronyms, 8 compoundings, 35 borrowings, 28 phrase, 45 registers functioned as consultative, 16 register as deliberative, 14 register as casual, 6 register as intimate, 2 register as oratorical or frozen. Consultative and deliberative are the dominant functions of the register used by the online shops but consultative is the most dominant function according to research. As stated in the problem statements, those of the matters relating to the business world would be very easy to find. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan menstimuli minat dan motivasi anak-anak anak usia dini dalam belajar Bahasa Inggris yang merupakan salah satu bahasa Internasional. Dengan memberikan materi yang dasar dan dengan menggunakan metode dan pendekatan yang sesuai maka minat belajar mereka pun semakin tumbuh dengan baik. Adapun aspek yang paling ditekankan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pada penguatan dan pemerkayaan kosa kata dengan memberikan contoh di sekitar mereka. Penguatan pada cara pengucapan dilakukan dengan cara memberikan contoh pengucapan dan diucapkan berkali kali melalui metode percakapan sederhana dan irama nyanyian yang disadur. Dalam kegiatan ini, Small Group Discussion digunakan yakni membagi peserta yang berjumlah 25 orang kedalam 5 group kecil. Dengan menggunakan metode yang bervariasi seperti menggabungkan Game Dan Sing Songs, dihasilkan dampak yang positif, dimana pada awalnya peserta kegiatan masih terlihat malu dan takut namun pada akhirnya menjadi lebih berani dalam menyampaikan pendapat. Dampak lain yang terlihat adalah meningkatnya rasa kepercayaan diri mereka setelah digunakan pendekatan khusus yakni dengan memberikan kata pujian pada setiap jawabann yang benar dan kurang tepat. Untuk jawaban yang salah diberkan juga pujian yang bersipfat pujian terhadap keberaniannya.
