Thin amorphous Ta205 films were deposited by oxygen-assisted pyrolysis of tantalum dichloro-diethoxy-acetylacetonate. Index of refraction and the optical gap measurements of the films were in agreement with previous results. The d-c conduction mechanism appears to be bulk limited following the Poole-Frenkel mechanism with transition towards a space charge limited current at high current densities. The conduction level is high and breakdown voltage is low with respect to SiO2 or Si3N4. The higher dielectric constant of TafO5 films could make them attractive in double layer insulator MIS devices.
Human tissues obtained at autopsy were analyzed for Cd, Fe, Zn, Mg, and Ca using atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The tissues analyzed included thoracic aorta collected from 46 subjects ranging in age from 1 to 91 years and lung, myocardium, and spleen collected from each of 26 additional subjects ranging in age from 5 months gestation to 78 years. The category of diseases included atherosclerotic heart disease (ASHD), malignancy (CA), and a miscellaneous group. The levels of the above elements are tabulated for the tissues indicated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
