Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) has become a pandemic worldwide, including in Indonesia. The transmission of Covid-19 in Indonesia is very fast and affects 34 provinces, many of which are in red zones. North Sulawesi is one of the provinces with a very fast Covid-19 transmission. Public knowledge and attitudes towards the Covid-19 pandemic are very important to reduce the risk of infection among the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the risk of contracting Covid-19 in the people of North Sulawesi. The research design used was descriptive correlation with cross sectional approach, with a sample size of 400 respondents who were selected using the consecutive sampling method. Data collection used a google form questionnaire and analyzed using Fisher's Exact Test. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and attitudes with the risk of contracting Covid-19 in the people of North Sulawesi with a p value (0.000). Good knowledge and a positive attitude from the public in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic can make people take real action to reduce the risk of contracting Covid-19. .
The Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic that happens world widely including Indonesia have caused new habits to emerge in the society. The number of confirmed positive cases increased without seeing someone's background includes it's educational background makes the society have to be aware about the importance of COVID-19 prevention behavior. The goal is to know the correlation between level of education and COVID-19 prevention behavior of the people in North Sulawesi. This study uses quantitative research with cross sectional approach and with the total sample 390 respondents. This research was delivered by filling the online questionnaire that can be access through https://bit.ly/3gOVe5h. The data analyzed by using pearson chi square test. The result shows the value of p=0,000 <0.05 which means there is a correlation between level of education and COVID-19 prevention behavior of the people in North Sulawesi. The higher the level of education of someone hence the better the COVID-19 prevention behavior.
The children at the Bersehati Public Market in Manado City were found selling during the COVID-19 Pandemic to help their parents but they found difficult to implement health protocols. Therefore, it is very important to provide health education to children about COVID-19 prevention. This community partnership program (PKM) was carried out at Bersehati Public Market in Manado and in collaboration with the Manado City Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service and the Manado Dinding Community which aims to provide and increase children's knowledge about COVID-19 prevention through educational content. Dissemination of COVID-19 prevention is carried out through watching educational videos, health promotion using posters, drawing & coloring. The distribution of medical masks, hand sanitizer and writing utensils to children was also carried out at this event. This PKM activity was attended by 43 children, 4 representatives of the child protection service, 10 Volunteers of Manado Dinding Community, 6 students and 2 Lecturers of the Nursing Science Program at Sam Ratulangi University Manado. This activity begins with a pre-test and ends with a post-test. The results of the pre test showed that the average correct answer was 59.43% and the wrong answer was 40.57%. While the post test results show an average of 98.67% correct answers and only 1.34% were still wrong. The conclusion of this activity is that there is an increase in children's knowledge at the Bersehati Public Market in Manado City after being given health education through educational content.
ABSTRAK Hipertensi merupakan penyakit kronis yang membutuhkan pengelolaan yang baik seperti mengontrol tekanan darah secara rutin, patuh minum obat anti hipertensi, dan menerapkan gaya hidup sehat. Agar manajemen perilaku pasien hipertensi dapat optimal, mereka butuh informasi yang tepat dan dukungan dari keluarga, lingkungan sekitar dan petugas kesehatan. Model edukasi PRECEDE-PROCEED merupakan model edukasi yang efektif sebagai bentuk promosi kesehatan karena melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk mengubah perilaku masyarakat dalam upaya meningkatkan derajat kesehehatan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan peran serta kader kesehatan dalam memberikan edukasi model PRECEDE=PROCEED pada pasien hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Wenang. Peserta dari kegiatan ini terdiri dari 11 orang kader kesehatan dari Kelurahan Tikala Kumaraka dan Kelurahan Teling Bawah yang termasuk dalam wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wenang. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah pelatihan kader kesehatan, pengukuran tekanan darah dan roleplay pemberian edukasi pada pasien hipertensi. Kegiatan ini terlaksana dengan baik dan mendapat respon yang positif dari para peserta dan mitra. Pemerintah Kelurahan Tikala Kumaraka dan Kelurahan Teling Bawah serta Puskesmas Wenang sangat mendukung kegiatan ini dan berharap para kader dapat berpartisipasi aktif untuk memberikan edukasi sehingga dapat mengendalikan dan mengontrol penyakit hipertensi di masyarakat. Kata Kunci: Pemberdayaan kader, hipertensi, PRECEDE-PROCEED ABSTRACT Hypertension is a chronic disease that requires good management such as controlling blood pressure regularly, obediently taking anti-hypertensive drugs, and implementing a healthy lifestyle. In order for the behavior management of hypertensive patients to be optimal, they need the right information and support from family, the surrounding environment and health workers. PRECEDE-PROCEED education model is an effective educational model as a form of health promotion because it involves community participation that aims to change people's behavior in an effort to improve health. The purpose of this activity is to increase the role of village health worker in providing PRECEDE-PROCEED model education in hypertensive patients in the Puskesmas Wenang work area. Participants of this activity consisted of 11 village health worker from Tikala Kumaraka Village and Teling Bawah Village which is the work area of Puskesmas Wenang. Activities carried out are village health worker training, blood pressure measurement and roleplay providing education to hypertensive patients. This activity was carried out well and received a positive response from participants and partners. The Government of Tikala Kumaraka Village and Teling Bawah Village and Puskesmas Wenang strongly support this activity and hope that village health worker can actively participate to provide education so as to control hypertension in the community. Covid-19 patients who have recovered often get stigma and discrimination from the surrounding community. The negative stigma given by the community affects the social functioning of former Covid-19 patients in the community. Social support from various parties such as family, friends, neighbors, co-workers is very much needed to improve the social functioning of former Covid-19 patients in the community. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between social support and social functioning in former Covid-19 patients in North Sulawesi. The research design used is descriptive correlation with a cross sectional approach, with a total sample of 164 respondents who were selected using the consecutive sampling method. The results of the study were analyzed using the Spearman test with a p value (0.000), this shows that there is a relationship between social support and social functioning in former Covid-19 patients. Good social support from family, friends, and the surrounding community allows former Covid-19 patients to carry out their social functions after recovering and returning to the community.
