Em 1987 foi publicada na Itália a primeira coletânea de poemas de Carlos Drummond de Andrade, com tradução de Antonio Tabucchi, importante escritor contemporâneo, lusitanista e tradutor. Antes disso o leitor italiano só teve acesso a poemas esparsos de Drummond, publicados em antologias de poetas brasileiros. Este artigo apresenta brevemente a tradução de dois destes poemas e reflete sobre as escolhas do tradutor, acenando para as implicações desta tradução de Tabucchi na divulgação da obra poética drummondiana no contexto literário italiano
O texto analisa o encontro entre o presidente estadunidense Ronald Reagan e o primeiro-ministro soviético Mikhail Gorbachev, em Washington, em 08 de dezembro de 1987, para assinar um tratado de diminuição das armas nucleares, que fora firmado em Genebra, em 24 de novembro de 1987, o Tratado de Forças Nucleares de Alcance Intermediário, conhecido como Tratado INF (de Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces), promovendo uma distensão entre as duas grandes potências da Guerra Fria. Tal evento é analisado em comparação com os objetivos pacifistas da ONU e a política de equilíbrio de poder entre os Estados, a partir do que Norberto Bobbio questiona os rumos do sistema internacional no final dos anos 1980.

RESUMO O presente trabalho busca uma análise e interpretação da obra teatral I giganti della montagna de Luigi Pirandello, discutindo a questão da fragmentação e da ruptura do sujeito consigo mesmo, considerando-as formas de duplicação temática e estrutural no texto dramático. Além disso, tenta mostrar as relações estabelecidas entre a narrativa e o drama, por intermédio da concepção de mito, colocada pelo autor.
Trânsitos e traduções pela literatura e cultura italianas foi o simpósio coordenado pelas professoras Erica Salatini, Lucia Wataghin e Patricia Peterle no âmbito do XIX Congresso da Associação Brasileira de Professores de Italiano (ABPI), realizado em outubro de 2021, ainda durante a pandemia de covid-19.Considerando a expansão nos últimos anos do campo dos estudos literários e dos estudos de tradução, dentro e fora da academia, o presente número da revista de Italianística é fruto dos debates tidos nesta ocasião proporcionados pela ABPI.O trânsito entre duas ou mais línguas e culturas é a um só tempo uma experiência complexa e uma tensão. As palavras, as construções sintáticas e os campos semânticos carregam vivências culturais, modos de estar e ver o mundo. É nesse sentido que o gesto da tradução, acontecimento que se dá no espaço do "entre", significa também o acolhimento do outro. Dessa maneira, a tradução, além de ser o melhor modo de se ler um texto -como já dizia Italo Calvino em alguns ensaios dedicados a esse ofício -é vista como um espaço de reflexão sobre o outro, de hospitalidades, de eticidade.A tradução, assim, se torna sinônimo de escuta, de deslocamentos; uma vez que toda e qualquer leitura é também uma exclusão de outras leituras que não foram ativadas ou, simplesmente, não se concretizaram; mas, sobretudo, é ainda o possível encontro com o(s) outro(s) que habita(m) em quem lê/traduz e, por conseguinte, na cultura que acolhe e na qual vai circular o texto traduzido.É, portanto, partindo dessas premissas do "gesto" de ler e de lidar com as diferentes e variadas reescrituras que os sete ensaios, que formam este número, contribuem para discutir alguns entrecruzamentos, movimentos de aproximação e distanciamento nos fluxos que perpassam e ligam a cultura italiana e a brasileira.A tradução, nesses movimentos, passa a ter um papel fundamental, e é por isso que os ensaios aqui reunidos constituem uma rede relevante que registra e coloca em evidência os entrecruzamentos, as facilidades e as dificuldades da recepção, as compensações, as releituras, as transleituras, as desleituras, enfim, as interpretações que tomam vida a partir de traduções.
