Diabetic foot problem in Indonesia remains a big problem and still needs an optimum concern. Foot care education is one of efforts that must be performed to prevent foot problem among diabetes mellitus patients. This study aimed to analyze effectivity of foot care education program in improving knowledge, self-efficacy and foot care behavior of diabetes patients in Banjarbaru. This study was quasi experimental with prepost test as conducted at primary health care in Banjarbaru in 2013. Foot care education program was provided to intervention group. Samples were 48 patients (32 persons in intervension group and 16 persons in control group) using purposive sampling technique. Variables measured were knowledge, self-efficacy and foot care behavior of diabetes mellitus patients. Intervension provided on respondents was in form of health education concerning foot care for twice. Every variable was measured twice before and after intervension. Knowledge test was measured using Diabetic Foot Care Knowledge Questionnaire, self-efficacy was measured by using Foot Care Confident Scale Self-Efficacy and foot care behavior was assessed using Behavior Foot Care Questionnaire. Data analysis used Manova. Results showed significant differences on knowledge level (p value = 0.001), self-efficacy (p value = 0.000) and foot care behavior (p value = 0.000) before and after intervension. Edukasi perawatan kaki adalah salah satu upaya yang harus dilakukan dalam mencegah masalah kaki untuk pasien diabetes melitus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas program pendidikan perawatan kaki dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, efikasi diri, dan perilaku perawatan kaki pasien diabetes di wilayah Banjarbaru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan pada tingkat pengetahuan (nilai p = 0,001), efikasi diri (nilai p = 0,000) dan perilaku perawatan kaki (nilai p = 0,000) sebelum dan setelah intervensi.

Elderly is an age group that is very vulnerable to suffer from hypertension. In addition to medication, blood pressure can be controlled by managing diet and giving fruits and vegetables. The Community Service Team carried out dissemination of food standards, processing of fruit and vegetable variant juices and education for the elderly with hypertension at the Tresna Werdha Budi Sejahtera Social Home Banjarbaru. The purpose of the activity is to provide input to nursing home managers regarding food standards, training and demonstrations of making fruit and vegetable juice variants as well as providing knowledge about eating arrangements for controlling blood pressure in the elderly. Method: Phase I: Dissemination to the management and health workers regarding food standards for the elderly with hypertension. Phase II: Conducting demonstrations of making fruit and vegetable variant juices and training nutritionists and health workers. Phase III: educating the elderly about eating arrangements and measuring blood pressure. The results of the activity: I. The results of the dissemination of suggestions for improving food standards for the elderly in order to control the blood pressure of the elderly at the Tresna Werdha Home., II The results of the juice making demonstration and training: the health workers were very enthusiastic, starting from the explanation from the preparation process to the making process. The results of education and blood pressure examinations found high grade 1 and 2 hypertension conditions. It is not possible to do pre and post-tests to explore the level of knowledge in the elderly. Asking questions directly from what is explained, all the elderly can answer. The preparation of food standards for the elderly with the addition of a composition of vegetables and fruit, the proposal to enter a joint juice drinking program with the elderly, providing continuous mentoring and motivation by nutritionists, are opportunities for the implementation of the MOU/cooperation agreement with the Social Institution.

Introduction: Nonadherence is a rampant problem among patients undergoing dialysis and can impact multiple aspects of patient care, including medications, and treatment regimens as well as dietary and fluid restriction. The purpose of this descriptive correlative research, on hemodyalysa patient with chronic renal failure was to know the influencing factors of compliance patient to fluid restriction.Methods: This study used descriptive correlative design, Data was analysed by using distibution frequency and chi square for analysys relation between variable.Results: The result revealed there were nor significant statistic difference at p > 0.05 between age, gender, education level, frequency of hemodyalysa and health education from nurse to compliance patient to fluid restriction (p = 0.647; p = 0.717; p = 0.345; p = 0.774; p = 0.273).Conclusion: Level of patient adherence to therapy not influenced by demographi factor but by the quality of interaction health workers and other factors. This study recommended for further analysis of the factors that influence the level of compliance of the patient as psychological factors (belieft , motivation), socio-economic, and social support.

Background: Religious health fatalism belief that health outcome is only determined by God without seeking treatment. Tools are needed to measure fatalism among patients with chronic disease, especially diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) patients. The aim of this study was to conduct psychometric test of religious health fatalism questionnaire (RHFQ) including translation, validation, reliability, and cut-off point among DFU out-patients. Design and methods: This study employed cross sectional design, using self-report questionnaire. Data were collected from diabetes clinic in five hospitals, Indonesia. The inclusion criteria were patients who had history of DFU more than 2 years. Total sample in this study was 184 patients. This study was conducted from April to June 2021. Permission to use the RHFQ was permitted by the original author. We conducted translation and adaptation questionnaire to Bahasa. We employed reliability test with internal consistency, construct validity, and convergent validity. Construct validity was evaluated using exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Cut-off point RHS was analyzed using receiver operating characteristic (ROC). ROC was evaluated using correlation score between total score RHFQ and CDRISC-25 Indonesia version. Previous study mentioned that resilience is a predictor of religious. The Cronbach’s alpha for RHFQ Indonesia version was adequate. Results: EFA showed adequate with Kaiser–Meyer-Olkin (KMO) value of 0.72 and the Bartlett’s test of sphericity was significant. According to ROC curve analysis, the cut-off point at a score 67.5 indicated the best sensitivity and specificity. Conclusions: RHFQ Indonesia version had reliability and validity for screening religious health fatalism among DFU outpatients.
