The study was expected to provide information poly ethylene glycol (PEG) concentration that can be used for plant breeding base rice (Oryza sativa L.) plant. The research was conducted covering two experimentals stage, were (i). Tests of dry stress resistance of six cultivars of rice using PEG 6000, and (ii). Emerged test seeds of six rice cultivars that have been subjected to dry stress with PEG 6000. The treatments were designed based on a complete randomized design of two factors. The first factor used six cultivars of rice were cv.Mekongga, cv. Way Apo Buru, cv. Sidenuk, cv. Pepe, cv. Ciherang and cv. IR64. and the second factor was dry stress [(0, 5, 10 and 15) % of PEG] with replicates three times. The higher concentration of PEG lowered growth rate (GR), emergence rate (ER), germination energy (GE) and the relative germination rate on all cultivars of rice. Germinate the longer time, appropriate concentrations of PEG. Test of pre-emergence on soil giving the mixed response on all cultivars of rice and PEG level. Cv. Mekongga, cv. Sidenuk, cv. Pepe and cv. Ciherang have the ability to grow on soil test. Canopy and root length highest on cv. IR64. Cv. Sidenuk popularity score can be classified moderate tolerance, while cv. Pepe that was sensitive to drought stress.

100 countries over 22 × 10 6 ha in the tropical and sub-tropical countries (Ahmed et al., 2016). Peanut productivity in tropical countries, including Indonesia, India, and countries in Africa, is generally almost the same, between (0.7 to 1.3) t ha -1 of dry pods (Sumarno, 2015). Kementerian Pertanian (2017) reports that productivity of peanuts has fluctuated throughout 5 year in the period 2013 to 2017 with the average productivity of 1.318 t ha -1 . Rhizobium was requiring P elements for root nodules formation. This study aims to determine the effects of the application of mycorrhizae at different levels that play an essential role in increasing P elemental uptake and rhizobia inoculants to improve N element fixation and root nodule formation. Rhizobia inoculant applications were allotted to main plots and levels of mycorrhizae to the subplots under each main plot. Three types of rhizobia applications viz., soaking (A1), spraying (A2), soaking and spraying (A3) and four levels of mycorrhizae doses viz., 0 g plant -1 (M0), 10 g plant -1 (M1), 15 g plant -1 (M2), 20 g plant -1 (M3). The results indicated that the application of Rhizobium at various doses of mycorrhizae together had a significant effect on plant height 70 d (A2M1 = 53.96 cm), leaf number 70 d (A1M3 = 42.75), leaf N content (A3M3 = 5.36 g 100 g -1 ), leaf P content (A3M3 = 0.418 g 100 g -1 ), leaf K content (A3M3 = 0.273 g 100 g -1 ), number of root nodules (A3M0 = 120), and weight of fresh pods plant -1 (A1M3 = 33.67 g). That application can enhance root nodules and had increased NPK uptake.

Abstract. The research was done to find out theeffect of manure and N dosage on chlorophyll content, plant height, crop growth rate (CGR), forage yield, dry matter ((DM) yield and DM content of BrachiariabrizanthaStapf. The experiment used manure (0 and 5 ton/ha) and nitrogen dosage (50, 100, 150 kg N ha -1 ) set in factorial design 2 x 3, repeated three times. The result showed that manure increased chlorophyll content, plant height, CGR, forage yield, DM yield and DM content. N dosage increased chlorophyll content, plant height, CGR, forage yield, DM yield and DM content. The interaction between manure and N dosage increased chlorophyll content, plant height, CGR, forage yield, DM yield and DM content. The result showed that manure usage and nitrogen dosage 150 kg N ha -1 increased chlorophyll content, plant height, CGR, forage yield, DM yield and DM content in the amount of 27.5; 20.5; 98.4; 68.5; 103.4 and 20.5% compared to without manure and nitrogen dosage in the amount of 150 kg N ha -1 .

Guava (Psidium guajava L.) is a tropical fruit plant. The study was conducted at three different altitudes in guava production center of Indonesia. The objectives of this research are to obtain information about the production and quality of guava at three locations by using manure applications. The study was conducted to guava plants at the age of 4 yr (first production). The study was designed according to the factorial design of 3 × 2 with 5 times replications. The first factor is the locations, which are the location-I (Pageruyung), location-II(Sukorejo) and location- III (Plantungan). The second factor is the provision of organic material of manure; without and with manure (2.5 t · ha‒1). The data collected is the guava production (total production for four months tree), diameter, weight, flesh thickness, seeds weight, fruit acid content and sugar content. Result of research showed (1.) the interaction between the location and the addition of manure in the cultivation of guava increased its fruit production, weight, and the sugar content, (2.) the research locations have elevation and soil chemical content varies in fruit diameter, seeds weight, and fruit acid content, (3.) manure significantly increased fruit production, weight, diameter, flesh thickness and sugar content, but it did not increase seeds weight and it reduced the fruit acid content.

The tendency to use inorganic fertilizers in very high doses has causesvarious negative impacts, namely damage to ecosystems, loss of soil fertility to health problems. Therefore, the use of organic fertilizers is encouraged to overcome these problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of Granules Organic Fertilizer (GOF) on the growth and yield of rice plants. The design used was a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications and eight treatments. The GOF treatment was arranged in six levels: 1 000 kg ha–1 to 6 000 kg ha–1, combined with Urea 300 kg ha–1 and Phonska 300 kg ha–1, one standard fertilization treatment (Petroganic 2 000 kg ha–1 + Urea 300 kg ha–1 and Phonska 300 kg ha–1) and one treatment without fertilization as a control. The results showed that GOF had a significant effect on the growth and yield of rice plants. The use of GOF 3 000 kg + 300 kg Urea + 300 kg Phonska gave the highest grain yield of 7.21 t ha–1 with RAE value of 116 % or an increase of 7.45 %, and with an R/C ratio of 1.4.
