In this study, the friction and wear behavior of pure poly-tetra-fluoro-ethylene (PTFE) and bronze filled PTFE polymer composites at applied load values of 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 150, and 200N and sliding speed values of 0.32, 0.64, 0.96, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 m/s working conditions were examined. Friction and wear experiments were run at ambient conditions using a pin-on-disc test rig. The results for pure PTFE and bronze filled PTFE composites showed that under light working condition, the friction coefficient decreases with the increase in applied load values, while under severe conditions the materials showed less sensitivity to the change in applied load values. Furthermore, among tested materials the lowest wear rate is for bronze filled PTFE composite. The specific wear rate for pure PTFE and 60% bronze filled PTFE are in the order of 10-13 and 10- 15 m2/N, respectively. For the range of applied load and sliding speeds used in this investigation, the friction coefficient and wear rate showed very little sensitivity to the change in sliding test speed and large sensitivity to the change in applied load values. Finally, the wear mechanism of PTFE and PTFE composites include adhesive and deformation mechanisms.
This study aims to investigate the relationships between spirituality, psychological well-being, compassion, and life satisfaction among adults, as well as the mediating role of compassion and life satisfaction in the relationship between spirituality and psychological well-being among adults. Using the relational survey model, 418 adults were recruited to participate in the study. The Spirituality Scale, Psychological Well-Being Scale, Compassion Scale, and Life Satisfaction Scale were used to collect data. Pearson Product-Moment Analysis was used to examine the links between adults' spirituality, psychological well-being, compassion, and life satisfaction. Using the Regression-Based Bootstrapping Technique and Serial Multiple Mediator Variable analysis, the researchers investigated the mediating function of compassion and life satisfaction in the link between spirituality and the psychological well-being of adults. The sequential mediation function of compassion and life pleasure was found to be significant in the link between adult spirituality and psychological well-being.
Considering that the therapeutic relationship and therapeutic conditions are inseparable conditions for the counseling process, it is important to bring a scale to the Turkish literature to examine the interpersonal stress experienced by counselors during the counseling process. In this research, the scale adaptation process from one language to another language was carried out. In this context, validity and reliability studies were carried out in 4 different samples. As a result of the research, it was seen that there was a moderate and high-level significant relationship between the Turkish and English forms of the scale in all of the items. With this, it is seen that the four-dimensional structure (χ2/sd=2.881) was confirmed in the CFA results of the linguistic adaptation process in the validity and reliability study of ISSC. When the fit values of the ISSC are examined (RMSEA=.08, SRMR=.07, GFI=.89, and AGFI=.85), it is seen that the four-dimensional structure of the scale's CFA results is confirmed. Considering the item-total correlation of the ISSC, it is seen that the item-total scores vary between .237 and .634. The Cronbach Alpha coefficient calculated for the reliability coefficient of the scale was found to be .878, and the McDonald's ω coefficient was .874. When the test-retest results of the Turkish version of the scale were examined, it was concluded that the reliability value was r=.79 (p
This study examines the serial multiple mediation of social appearance anxiety, positive perfectionism, and negative perfectionism in the relationship between self-compassion and resilience to observe the psychosocial development of children attending secondary school. The model of this study, which examines the role of social appearance anxiety, positive perfectionism, and negative perfectionism in the relationship between secondary school children's self-compassion and resilience, is a relational research type, which is one of the quantitative research types. Relational research method is used to determine the relationships between variables and to predict possible outcomes. A total of 497 children, 283 girls (59.1%) and 196 (40.9%) boys were reached for the study group. 55 (11.5%) of the children stated that they had a low socioeconomic level, 399 (83.3%) had a medium socioeconomic level, and 25 (5.2%) had a high socioeconomic level. Children's ages range from 10 to 14 years old. In this study, Self-Compassion Scale-Short Form, Psychological Resilience Scale, Social Appearance Anxiety Scale, Positive-Negative Perfectionism Scale, and Personal Information Form were used to collect data. Firstly, descriptive statistics for all variables were calculated, and the relations between variables were determined using Pearson Product Moments Correlation analysis. Mediation analyses were performed in line with the recommendations of Preacher and Hayes. This method is used by loading the "Multiple Mediation (INDIRECT)" macro into the IBM SPSS Statistic 22 software. Model 6, one of the serial multiple mediator variable models, was used in the analysis. Finally, according to the results of serial multiple analysis, it was observed that the mediation role of social appearance anxiety, positive perfectionism, and negative perfectionism was significant in the relationship between self-compassion and psychological resilience. The model shows that children with high self-compassion will experience less social appearance anxiety, have more positive and less negative perfectionism, and thus have higher psychological resilience.
Aracılık analizleri Preacher ve Hayes’in önerileri doğrultusunda gerçekleştirilmiştir.
