Die Einwirkung von Schwefelkohlenstoff auf Diaryldiazomethane fiihrt zurBildung von 3.6-Dimethylen-I .2.4.5-tetrathia-cyclohexanen (vgl. u. a. VI), die mit Kupferpulver 2.4-Dimethylen-1.3-dithia-cyclobutane (vgl. u. a. VII) liefern. Letztere entstehen auch aus Schwefelkohlenstoff und Phosphor-yliden (vgl. u. a. XWa -+ IX). Die Dimethylen-1.3-dithia-cyclobutane sind als dirnere Thioketene aufzufassen, ihre sehr groRe Thermostabilitat wird durch das ,,Gewicht" polarer Grenzstrukturen erklart, entsprechendes gilt von den Desaurinen.Es scheint, daB monomere Thioketene (vgl. I) bisher noch nicht dargestellt worden sind. Bekannt jedoch sind Verbindungen der allgerneinen Formel 11, die als dimere Thioketene aufgefaBt werden konnen. Am besten sind die Desaurine (Ha und llb) untersucht ; ihre von V. MEYER 1 ) vorgeschlagene Konstitution I1 ist durch neuerliche Untersuchungen 2) bekraftigt worden. Abgesehen von den Desdurinen kennt man auch das dimere Diphenylthioketen (VII), das nach folgender R e a k t i~n~~' oder nach ahnlichen M e t h~d e n~~) erhalten wurde:Wir berichten heute uber zwei neue Methoden zur Darstellung dimerer Diarylthioketene (11, R = Aryl). Die unterschiedliche Reaktionsweise von Carbonyl-und Thiocarbonylgruppen wird diskutiert und eine unabhIngige Synthese fur 4 beschrieben.Im Rahmen seiner umfassenden Arbeiten fiber bithiierungsreaktionen hat Riedl) auch die Einwirkung von Natriumacetylid auf Thioketone in flussigem Ammoniak untersucht. Ex kommt zu dem Ergebnis, daD bei aromatischen Thioketonenandere wurden nicht untersuchteine Anlagerung des Athins an das Thioketon nicht stattfindet, ein Resultat, das er kurzlich in einer zusammenfassenden Arbeit2) bekriiftigt hat.Da Thioketone zum speziellen Arbeitsgebiet des einen von uns gehoren J), wurden die von R i d angegebenen Versuche nachgearbeitet. Das Resultat, soweit es sich um das Thiobenzophenon handelt, wird im folgenden beschrieben, es ist mit den Riedschen Feststellungen unvereinbar.Ried gibt an, daD bei der Einwirkung von Natriumacetylid in flussigem Ammoniak auf Thiobenzophenon eine Verbindung C=H2&2 entsteht, die schon friiher Behr4) aus Diphenyldichlormethan und Kaliumhydrogensulfid in hithanol erhalten haben will. Behr gibt fiir diese Verbindung keine Strukturformel an; Ried schliigt die Konstitution 1 vor. 1 2 Die Verbindung CzHzoSz (farblose Nadeln aus Eisessig, Schmp. 152 -153" ; die Schmelze wird oberhalb des Schmp. blau)4) ist nach Behr niemals wieder erhalten worden. Sie ist mit Sicherheit identisch mit dem Dibenzhydryldisulfid (2) (CaHzS2, *) XLV. Mitteil.: A. Schonberg, B. Konig und E. Frese, Chem. Ber.98,3303 (1965), vorstehend.
Die Einwirkung von elementarem Schwefel auf Diaryldiazomethane liefert Tetraayläthylensulfide in guter Ausbeute, Diarylthioketone sind als Zwischenprodukte anzunehmen.
Organische Halogenverbindungen dienen als Ausgangsstoffe fur verschiedene Thioketonsynthesenz-4'. Besondere Bedeutung kommt jedoch den gem. Dichloriden 1 zu, da diese sich mit Hilfe von Thiocarbonsauren 2 gemaI3 (1) leicht in Diaryl-oder heterocyclische Thioketone 3 iiberfuhren lassen und damit einen ausgedehnten Anwendungsbereich gefunden haben 1 41.
