Atualmente o Brasil possui em torno de 1,34% de toda sua geração de energia elétrica proveniente da energia fotovoltaica, com perspectivas de que até 2024 este percentual dobre. O aumento expressivo de geradores fotovoltaicos conectados à rede no Brasil fez com que a Aneel apresentasse um novo modelo tarifário brasileiro – Tarifa Branca – no ano de 2016. Este novo modelo de gerenciamento do sistema elétrico de potência é baseado nos pilares das smart grids. Portanto, com as grandes perspectivas de crescimento ainda maior da energia fotovoltaica e o novo modelo tarifário, este artigo mostra o impacto da Geração Distribuída na Tarifa Branca em uma residência com consumo típico na faixa de 301 a 500 kWh comparando-a com à tarifa convencional. Nesta análise do consumo de energia não se levou em conta a mudança nos hábitos de consumo de energia, mas procura-se mostrar as consequências que as duas tarifas para baixa tensão teriam para o consumidor final usando Geração Distribuída. O resultado foi um incremento aproximado de 16% no custo mensal da energia, ou um crescimento de 16% na geração fotovoltaica, caso se mantenha o atual padrão de consumo.
A metodologia empregada no Brasil para a projeção da expansão de demanda de energia elétrica usa a projeção do crescimento econômico e o crescimento demográfico. Diante disso, buscou-se apresentar neste trabalho uma análise da introdução do desenvolvimento humano como determinante para a projeção da expansão de demanda, bem como expor as correlações de Pearson para análises em vinte países selecionados aleatoriamente, dez países em desenvolvimento e dez países desenvolvidos. Comprovou-se por métodos estatísticos que existem correlações de consumo de energia elétrica com o desenvolvimento humano e o desenvolvimento econômico para países em desenvolvimento, porém existe um ponto de saturação nessas correlações, o que pode ser observada nos países desenvolvidos. Com as correlações de Pearson foi possível mensurar as equações características entre os dados analisados. Desta forma, foi possível gerar uma previsão da evolução ou regresso nos indicadores selecionados para os países em desenvolvimento. Atualmente, o Brasil é classificado com Alto desenvolvimento humano. Para progredir à classificação de Alto para Muito Alto é necessária uma evolução no consumo de energia elétrica per capita de 15,1% em relação aos dados de 2017.
