Objetivou-se descrever a experiência relacionada à aprendizagem ativa e híbrida na formação médica sobre políticas públicas de saúde em uma instituição pública estadual de ensino superior. A disciplina foi ofertada no período de dezembro de 2019 a abril de 2020 no 4º semestre do Curso de Medicina para uma turma constituída por 36 discentes. As principais metodologias ativas utilizadas na condução da disciplina foram: Sala de Aula Invertida (Flipped Classroom), Aprendizagem Baseada em Problemas (PBL), jogo educativo e aprendizagem baseada em projetos. O ensino híbrido consistiu no uso do Google Classroom, um sistema de gerenciamento de conteúdos com a finalidade de compartilhar materiais para leitura, explicar e receber atividades, bem como avaliar a aprendizagem. Ao final da disciplina foi realizada uma avaliação institucional por meio do Google Forms para apreender a percepção dos discentes sobre os métodos de ensino e aprendizagem, os professores e a contribuição para a formação médica, além de captar os pontos positivos, negativos e sugestões. As metodologias ativas de aprendizagem e o ensino híbrido proporcionaram integração teórico-prática dos conteúdos; maior engajamento e participação ativa do discente; fortalecimento do trabalho colaborativo; ambiente sensibilizador e motivador para a aprendizagem; feedback contínuo e qualidade na gestão da aprendizagem. Contudo, foram apontadas como desvantagens a alta carga de atividades didáticas e a sobrecarga dos discentes mais dedicados nas atividades em grupo, o que demonstra a importância do papel docente como mediador da aprendizagem.
