Gymnastic of foot is activity or practice for the patient for the patient with diabetes mellitus to prevent the injury and for the blood circulation on foot (Suryadi, 2004). The objective of foot gymnastic is to improve the blood circulation on the foot of patient with diabetes mellitus for the circulation of nutrition on the organ (Tara, 2003). Sensitivity of foot is sensitivity on the lower extremity. This research applies pretest-posttest design in wich this research was conducted by do the initial observation (ptetest) before the intervention. After the intervention, the observation is conducted from the observation sheet. The resulth of research before the intervention of foot gymnastic indicates that the less sensitivity is 15 respondents (50%), medium sensitivity is 8 respondents (26,7%), good sensitivity for 7 respondent (23,3%) and after the intervention of foot sensitivity, the medium sensitivity to be 18 respondent (78,3%), good sensitivity for 5 respondents (21,7%). The result of statistical test has a significant result to the increasing of sensitivity of foot where p = 0,00 with the average value of increasing is 0,67.

Background. The objective of the research was to analyze the difference in the effectiveness patients' respiratory tracts in the post-inhalation general anesthesia in smoking and non-smoking patients in the Recovery Room. The effectiveness of respiratory tract in the post-anesthesia, especially inhalation general anesthesia, is highly influenced by the health system of lungs. Respiratory system disorder includes respiratory tract obstruction or some conditions which cause it, such as respiratory tract infection, emphysema and chronic bronchitis. One of the factors which is believed to be the cause of respiratory system disorder is smoking. Design of this study is cross sectional design. The research used descriptive analytic method. Results. The result of the research showed that 21 non-smoking respondents (56.8%) underwent secretion accumulation of < 10 cc, and 7 smoking respondents (18.9%) who smoked > 20 cigarettes a day underwent secretion accumulation of > 10 cc. It could be concluded that there was the difference in the secretion accumulation in the respondents of the post-inhalation general anesthesia in smoking and non-smoking patients of 10.2916. The result of independent t-test showed that there was significant difference in the effectiveness of respiratory tract in the post-inhalation general anesthesia in smoking and non-smoking patients at p-value=0.000 (α<0.05). It is recommended that the effectiveness of respiratory tract in the postinhalation general anesthesia in smoking and non-smoking patients be monitored in order to forestall the incidence of complication in the respiratory tract obstruction. Conclusion. It was conducted in the Recovery Room of RSUD dr. Pirngadi, Medan from January until October, 2016. The population was 217 patients in the post-inhalation general anesthesia, and 37 of them were used as the samples in which 16 respondents were smokers and 21 respondents were non-smokers, taken by accidental sampling technique, at the significance level of 95%.
The implementation of the MCH Handbook is still not optimal, there are still many mothers, families, health workers, and cadres who have not carried out the things that should be done in implementing the MCH Handbook. This lack of knowledge has an impact on the lack of utilization of maternal and child health services. In an effort to overcome this, it is necessary to disseminate the MCH Handbook to pregnant women. Based on the results of the research conducted, the MCH Handbook Socialization was effective in increasing knowledge. To determine the effect of socializing the MCH Handbook on increasing the knowledge of pregnant women about the MCH Handbook. A quasi-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest design without a control group. The number of samples was 30 pregnant women in the third trimester who came to visit the Puskesmas with the purposive sampling technique. The mean level of knowledge before the MCH Book socialization was carried out was 62.97. The mean level of knowledge after socialization of the MCH Handbook was 74.31. The statistical results of the paired sample test (pre-post) of knowledge obtained p-value of 0.000 indicating that there was a significant difference between knowledge before the MCH Handbook Socialization was carried out and after the MCH Handbook socialization was carried out. Socialization of the MCH Handbook is effective in maximizing the knowledge of pregnant women about the MCH Handbook. The MCH Handbook socialization provides a learning process for pregnant women to gain knowledge, information, and understanding as well as practice the contents of the Maternal and Child Health Book (MCH).
