The annual pruning of vineyards produces shoot and leaf residues that have traditionally been fed to sheep and goats. The aim of this work was to determine the forage and nutritive values of grapevine (Vitis vinifera L.) leaves plus summer lateral shoots at grape harvest and two post-harvest dates. The study cultivars were Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, all grafted onto 5BB rootstocks. The leaves and summer lateral shoots were removed at the same time from each cultivar at three dates: grape harvest, 15 days post-harvest, and 30 days postharvest. No significant differences were seen between the cultivars in terms of their mean crude protein (CP ) were recorded at grape harvest. The potassium, calcium and iron contents ranged from 2.11-2.15, 3.86-3.92 and 0.036-0.038 g kg -1 respectively at all stages. The leaves plus summer lateral shoots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon grapevine cultivars can be beneficially fed to sheep, goats and cattle in some viticultural regions of Turkey and other parts of the world.Additional key words: acid detergent fibre, mineral content, neutral detergent fibre, yield. Valores forrajeros y nutritivos de residuos de poda (hojas y brotes laterales de verano) de cuatro cultivares de vid (Vitis vinifera L.) en el momento de la cosecha y en dos fechas de postcosechaTradicionalmente, la poda anual de las vides (Vitis vinifera L.) produce residuos de brotes y hojas que sirven de alimento para las ovejas y cabras. El objetivo de este trabajo fue determinar los valores forrajeros y nutritivos de hojas de vides y brotes laterales de verano en el momento de la cosecha y después de la cosecha. Los cultivares estudiados fueron Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc y Sémillon, todos injertados en portainjertos 5BB. Se arrancaron simultánemente hojas y brotes laterales de todos los cultivares en tres fechas: recolección de uva, y 15 y 30 días tras la cosecha. No se observaron diferencias significativas entre cultivares, en ninguna de las tres fechas de muestreo, en las medias de los contenidos en proteína cruda (CP) (45,44-46,33 g kg -1 ), fibra cruda (CF) (37,12-37,50%), fibra detergente neutra (FDN) (324,63-324,87 g kg -1 ), fibra detergente ácida (FDA) (247,44-249,44 g kg -1 ), potasio (2,11-2,14 g kg -1 ), calcio (3,85-3,95 g kg -1 ) o hierro (0,037-0,038 g kg -1 ). Los mayores rendimientos de materia fresca (1.765,33 kg ha -1 ) y materia seca (DM) (610,67 kg ha -1 ) se obtuvieron con Sauvignon Blanc. Los rendimientos en materia fresca, DM, CP, CF, FDN y FDA difirieron significativamente en todas las fechas de muestreo. Los contenidos máximos de materia fresca (1.925,33 kg ha -1 ), DM (634,67 kg ha -1 ) y CP (61,67 g kg -1 ) se registraron en el momento de la recolección de la uva. Tekirdağ koşullarında yetiştirilen Cabernet-Sauvignon üzüm çeşidinde farklı kültürel işlemlerin, şıra özellikleri üzerine etkilerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Denemede Kontrollü Toprak İşleme (KTİ) uygulaması, Kontrollü Toprak İşleme + Geleneksel Toprak İşleme (KTİ+GTİ) uygulaması ve Geleneksel Toprak İşleme (GTİ) uygulaması olmak üzere üç farklı toprak işleme uygulaması ile birlikte Kontrol (KY+AY) uygulaması (koltuk yapraklarının ve ana yaprakların sürgün üzerinde bırakıldığı), AY uygulaması (koltuk yaprakları alınan) ve KY uygulaması (ana yaprakları alınan) olmak üzere üç farklı yaprak alma uygulaması yapılmıştır. Yapılan uygulamaların şıra özellikleri üzerine etkilerini ortaya koymak amacıyla; SÇKM (°Brix), total asidite (g/L), pH, şeker konsantrasyonu (g/L), tanedeki şeker miktarı (mg/tane), toplam malik asit (g/L), toplam antosiyanin (mg/kg) ve toplam fenol indeksi (TPI) kriterleri incelenmiştir. Yapılan toprak işleme uygulamalarından KTİ uygulamasının; şeker konsantrasyonu, toplam antosiyanin, malik asit miktarı ile suda çözünebilir kuru madde miktarını (SÇKM) azalttığı belirlenmiştir. KTİ+GTİ uygulamasının toplam antosiyanin miktarını artırdığı, buna karşın; SÇKM, pH, toplam polifenol indeksi (TPI) değerlerinde azalmaya neden olduğu belirlenmiştir. Yaprak alma uygulamalarından ise AY uygulamasının toplam asitliği artırdığı; SÇKM ve malik asit değerlerini azalttığı belirlenmiştir. KY uygulamasının ise SÇKM, pH ve şeker konsantrasyonunu azalttığı belirlenmiştir. Uygulamalar sonucunda toprak işleme uygulamalarından KTİ+GTİ, yaprak alma uygulamalarından ise Kontrol (KY+AY) uygulamalarının Tekirdağ koşullarında yetiştirilen Cabernet-Sauvignon üzüm çeşidinde şıra özelliklerini olumlu yönde etkilediği belirlenmiştir.

No other plant has played as decisive a role in people's agricultural and socio-cultural activities throughout history as the grapevine. In addition to the effects of the vine plant on civilizations in history, today the economic value produced from grape and grape products distinguishes it financially from other plant species. Anatolia is a central point in the journey of Vitis species. The South Caucasus (Georgia-Azerbaijan-Armenia) and the Fertile Crescent regions are accepted as the vine's homeland. Thus, these areas played a significant role in the cultivation and distribution of grapes. Genetic diversity also led to the diversification of usage purposes and has been an essential resource for breeding studies. In this review, the distribution of Vitis species in Anatolia has been reviewed within the scope of the current literature from different disciplines. Moreover, important V. vinifera L. varieties and their usage purposes are examined.

Bu çalışmada, 2013-2015 yılları arasında Merlot/5BB aşı kombinasyonu asmalara 3 farklı koltuk sürgünü uzunluğu (Yok, 3-4 yaprak, 6-7 yaprak) ve 3 farklı ana sürgün uzunluğu (1 m, 1.25 m, 1.5 m) uygulamalarının şıra önolojik özellikleri üzerine etkileri incelenmiştir. Farklı yeşil budama uygulamalarıyla oluşturulan taç mikroklimalarının etkileri yıllar bazında özellikle koltuk sürgünü uygulamalarında öne çıkmaktadır. 2013 ve 2015 yıllarında olduğu gibi vejetasyon döneminde yağışın az, oransal nemin nispeten düşük ve sıcaklıkların yüksek olduğu yetiştirme dönemlerinde 3-4 yapraklı koltuk sürgünü uygulaması şıra önolojik özellikleri bakımından öne çıkmıştır. 2014 yılında vejetasyon döneminde meydana gelen aşırı yağışlar ve yüksek oransal nem tamamı alınmış koltuk sürgünü uygulamasında fizyolojik aktivite ve kaliteyi yükseltmiştir. Ana sürgün uzunluğu uygulamalarının kalite kriterleri açısından önemli bir etkisi görülmemiştir. Sonuçlar, özellikle şaraplık çeşitlerin yetiştiriciliği açısından kaliteye dönük yeşil budama uygulamalarının yapılma zamanı ve tekniğinde en önemli faktörün yılın iklim durumu olduğunu, farklı iklimsel özellikler gösteren yıllarda farklı uygulamalar yapılmasının yerinde olacağını göstermiştir.

The aim of research was determination of the effects of cluster thinning and leaf removal on cluster characteristics in Michele Palieri/110R grafting combination. Methods and Results: This research was conducted in Tekirdag-Karaevli village, between 41° 01' 11.41" N and 27° 39' 49.14" E coordinates in 2018-2019-2020 periods. There were 3 different application periods [Berry Set (BS), Bunch Closure (BC), Veraison (V)] and 4 different applications [Control= No Leaf Removal-No Cluster Thinning (U1), No Leaf Removal-Cluster Thinning (U2), Leaf Removal-No Cluster Thinning (U3), Leaf Removal-Cluster Thinning (U4)] in the research. Following measurements were done to determine the cluster characteristics: cluster length and width (cm), cluster weight (g), cluster volume (cm 3 ), berry number of cluster (number), cluster compactness and yield (kg/vine). Conclusions: As a result, in order to high quality for Michele Palieri; as an U2 (No Leaf Removal-Cluster Thinning) application in BC period in Tekirdag province is proposed. Significance and Impact of the Study: Cluster thinning and leaf removal applications have been found to cause 8-48% decrease in yield compared to the Control.
