Recently, sulphur containing molecules have witnessed significant recognition due to their wide application in various fields. In this regard, the synthesis of such CÀ S containing moieties has become a distinguished and omnipresent research sector in organic chemistry. The transition metal catalysts have been widely utilized in this field for the CÀ S bond formation. Among them, nickel catalysts have attracted great attention owing to their relatively lower toxicity, highly economical, plentiful and efficient metal which come up as a substitute for toxic and expensive 4d and 5d transition metals. The latest advancement in nickelcatalyzed CÀ S bond making reactions are reviewed and covers literature from 2015-2021.
Coumarins are omnipresent in several plants and exhibit a plethora of pharmacological properties, making them an important scaffold in organic synthesis. Naturally, the chemistry of this motif has attracted ever‐increasing attention, among which palladium‐catalyzed coupling reactions are the most prevalent one. Numerous useful, easy, and concise syntheses and reactions have been achieved using palladium‐catalyzed coupling reactions. This review focuses on recent advances in palladium‐catalyzed cross‐coupling reactions such as Suzuki, Heck, Stille, Sonogoshira etc. reactions of coumarin derivatives and covers the literature from 2001 to 2020.
Transition metal catalyzed synthesis of organo‐phosphorus compounds show rapid advances. Due to the powerful bond‐forming ability under mild reaction conditions and wide functional group tolerance made palladium‐catalyzed reactions an inevitable tool for the synthesis of various structurally diversed complex molecules. This review is an account of palladium‐catalyzed Carbon‐Phosphorous bond forming reactions. For proving an insight into the synthetic and mechanistic knowledge of its chemistry some of the mechanisms of this type of catalysis are also added. This review focuses on the recent advances in Palladium‐catalyzed C−P bond forming reactions and covers literature from 2001 to 2020.
