Introdução: Os acidentes ofídicos representam um sério problema na saúde pública pela grande incidência e gravidade. No Brasil são causados pelas serpentes dos gêneros Crotalus, Lachesis, Bothrops e Micrurus. Objetivos: o presente trabalho objetivou a investigação da prevalência de acidentes ofídicos e variáveis relacionadas na Região de Integração Lago Tucuruí entre os anos 2010 a 2019. Metodologia: Nessa ótica, foi realizado um estudo epidemiológico descritivo, os dados foram obtidos através do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN), tabulados e analisados através dos programas Microsoft Excel, BioStat 5.0 e PAST 3.04. As variáveis utilizadas foram: sexo, faixa etária, escolaridade, município de ocorrência, mês do acidente, gênero da serpente, tempo entre picada-atendimento, gravidade e evolução final. Resultados: No período analisado houve 3.534 ocorrências. As vítimas foram predominantemente do sexo masculino (77%), 20 a 39 anos (38%), com baixa escolaridade (61%); o Município de Novo Repartimento apresentou maior número de casos (30%) e taxa de prevalência por mil habitantes (17,19 casos/1.000 habitantes); observou-se maior frequência de eventos no período de alta pluviosidade (63%); dos acidentes provocados por serpentes peçonhentas (N=2.840), o gênero Bothrops foi o responsáveis pela maioria (78%); com relação ao atendimento houve predominância no decorrer de 6 horas (71%) destas 45% em até 3 horas; a maioria das ocorrências foi classificada como leve (63%), com evolução clínica para a cura (81%). Considerações final: A criação do perfil epidemiológico do ofidismo em nossa região, é crucial para contribuir com estratégias de combate e controle voltadas para as localidades mais afetadas.
