Resumo: Introdução: A pandemia de Covid-19 agrava as desigualdades sociais e torna urgente olhar para as populações vulneráveis, especialmente as mulheres. O isolamento social e a crise econômica intensificam a violência contra as mulheres e dificultam seu acesso à saúde. Desenvolvimento: O reconhecimento das vulnerabilidades sociais desse grupo na pandemia reitera a necessidade de uma formação médica atenta às desigualdades de gênero e alinhada às políticas públicas de saúde da mulher no SUS. Este ensaio tem como objetivo refletir sobre as competências necessárias aos graduandos em Medicina, buscando uma atenção integral à saúde da mulher e em diálogo com as políticas públicas vigentes e as DCN. Este texto está organizado em quatro áreas: saúde materno-infantil, saúde sexual, direitos reprodutivos e cuidados com mulheres no climatério e na menopausa. Conclusão: Observamos que, para garantir a saúde integral da mulher, as escolas médicas devem dar aos alunos oportunidades de aprender um conjunto de habilidades, para que, uma vez formados, possam: pautar sua conduta por evidências científicas, ouvir as mulheres, comunicar-se adequadamente com elas, respeitar suas singularidades em cada etapa do ciclo ginecológico, construir uma relação mais simétrica, adotar uma visão ampla de suas condições de vida e dar à mulher maior controle sobre o próprio corpo, a saúde, sexualidade e vida.
OBJETIVO Analisar a tendência temporal das taxas mensais de mortalidade por doenças respiratórias crônicas no Brasil de 1996 até 2017, com projeções para 2022, além de analisar a possibilidade de cumprimento da meta do Plano de Ações Estratégicas para o Enfrentamento das Doenças Crônicas Não Transmissíveis no Brasil de 2011 até 2022. MÉTODOS Trata-se de estudo ecológico que utiliza dados do Sistema de Informações sobre Mortalidade, do Sistema de Informações Demográficas e Socioeconômicas e da Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios Contínua. O recorte etário foi estabelecido entre 30 e 69 anos e a evolução das taxas no tempo foi feita por meio de modelos autorregressivos integrados de média móvel em plataforma estatística R. RESULTADOS As taxas de mortalidade precoce por doenças respiratórias crônicas apresentam-se decrescentes no Brasil como um todo e na maior parte das capitais, assim como, há tendência a atingir a meta do Ministério da Saúde na maior parte do país. Para capitais que tendem a não atingir a meta, verifica-se associação entre mortalidade e indicadores sociais, rede assistencial de saúde e frequência do tabagismo. CONCLUSÃO Pretende-se que o estudo possibilite um melhor planejamento do sistema público de saúde para o controle das doenças respiratórias crônicas.
Os autores apresentam e discutem uma atividade do projeto de extensão Prescrevendo Histórias: desenvolvimento de competência narrativa em estudantes de Medicina, da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. O foco do artigo é a descrição da metodologia desenvolvida: distribuição de pílulas literárias na sala de espera de um ambulatório e produção de narrativas por meio da experiência, bem como sua análise. O artigo está dividido em seções. Inicialmente são apresentados a dinâmica de desenvolvimento da atividade e o procedimento metodológico engendrado para a análise do material produzido por encontros virtuais do grupo. A seguir, é abordada a análise das 25 narrativas, com destaque para as temáticas, os recursos linguísticos e as vozes presentes. Os autores concluem que o recurso didático-pedagógico apresentado possibilitou a incorporação de valores humanísticos à formação dos estudantes de Medicina.
