The article is devoted to the subjective reaction of patients at different stages of disabling disease, in the context of the formation of a specific cognitive-emotional and motivational model of “internal picture of disability”, depending on the severity of social frustration as the most important deconditioning factor. We wanted to identify psychological determinant of the specificity of adaptive activity of the patient to the situation disabling disease, depending on the level of increase social frustration. Nature of adaptation to the disabling disease depending on the level of increase social frustration expressed by: 1) decrease in self-esteem of patient self-efficacy with an increase in subjective experience of disability; 2) the growing tension of personal protective mechanisms; 3) reductions coping competence, which, depending on the rise of frustration, becomes effective instead of the rational-intelligent, more maladaptive emotional.
Modern research is paying much attention to the issue of digital addiction of students in recent times since it can lead students to pay less attention to their academics. This article intends to discuss the possible threats and risks of the formation of digital dependence among teenagers from the use of gadgets. As a research method, the questionnaire method was used. The participants consisted of 13 specialists and 508 teenagers aged 11 to 14, studying in the 5th-8th grades of secondary schools. From the study, digital education increased the time spent of digital devices and technology. The authors also found that when students are learning with digital devices, they waste time on non-educational contents. The authors of the article propose psychological and pedagogical measures aimed at preventing digital addiction of students. Keywords: students, digital educational technologies, digital products, Internet addiction, prevention, gadget, typology of threats and risks.
The article deals with the development of structural components of environmental consciousness for the formation of an individual’s civic identity. The psychodiagnostic research was conducted using the data collected from the first- to fourth-year students. In total, 130 students from various fields of study participated in this study, including students in the Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Technology departments. The study was carried out using the techniques developed by the authors and the technique by S.D.Deryabo and V.A.Yasvin ‘EZOP’.To check the relationship between the ecological attitude and the civic identity of the individual, we used mathematical methods. We hypothesized that the civic identity, which reflects the affiliation of an individual to the civil society of a particular state, has a complex multi-component structure and includes the structural components of the ecological consciousness; therefore, by promoting the development of the structural components of the ecological consciousness, we can contribute to the formation of the civic identity as well.Based on the obtained results, we conclude that the ecological consciousness and its structural components (in particular, the ecological attitude) are closely related to the civic identity of the individual. We show that developing environmental attitudes in students has a positive impact on the formation of their civic identity. This study concludes that there is a direct relationship between the development of environmental attitudes and such structural components of the civic identity as the attitude towards other, people, family, homeland, and nature.
The article explores the relationship between values and orientations of the digital generation. The psychodiagnostic survey was conducted in 2018 on a sample of 120 subjects aged 15—16 years. We used Edgar Schein’s Career Anchors questionnaire and Shalom Schwartz’s Value Survey. Our hypothesis was that the dominant values (both social and personal) are interrelated with the leading career orientations of adolescents. Basing on the obtained results we conclude that the prevailing values of the digital generation (both social and personal) are “preservation” and “care for others”. The leading career orientations of adolescents are “service”, “autonomy” and “integration of lifestyles”. The desire for professional competence, autonomy in career, invention and management are connected, first of all, with hedonistic values. At the same time, such social values as “care for one's immediate environment” and “willingness to experience the depth of emotion” are peripheral. There is a discrepancy in the established links between career orientations and values (both social and personal): the same career orientations are caused by different values. It can be explained as follows: (i) adolescents’ perception of their actions contradicts their own behavior; (ii) the digital generation is under pressure to pursue the values reinforced by the reference groups and traditions.
Introduction. Experts in many occupations are to carry out their occupational activities in unusual conditions. And in particular, in a remote mode, which can be a factor that reduces the level of psychological well-being of the individual if there is no compliance with the situation of self-isolation. The purpose of the study is to study the teachers’ compliance with the situation of self-isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. The tasks of the study include the detection of the grade of the compliance with the situation of self-isolation during the pandemic, the analysis of the level of compliance with the situation of self-isolation during the pandemic as a factor of psychological well-being of teachers. Material and methods. We surveyed 124 teachers (between 23 to 67 years). The respondents’ answers are represented on three scales: Understanding the situation of self-isolation’, ‘Understanding of oneself in the situation of isolation, ‘Understanding the characteristics of the interactions and communication in the situation of isolation’. Results. Most respondents agree with the need for self-isolation and consider it to be a practical approach to prevent the incidence of COVID-19. The most pronounced responses are the ones on improving occupational and cultural levels. Most of the respondents note a high level of understanding of the value of relationships. Discussion. In particular, the problem of insufficiently high level of self-understanding in the situation of self-isolation, along with the acknowledgement of the need to comply with it, to be revealed. In this regard, it is advisable to provide psychological assistance in the form of information support for the population. Conclusion. That the better the respondents understand the need for self-isolation, the more effective the process of communication and interaction with others is, and, consequently, the less damage is caused to the level of psychological well-being of the individual. Due to the established lack of understanding of oneself in the situation of self-isolation, the following can be considered practical areas of informational psychological support: critical attitude to information that appears in various sources; building positive relationships within the family; managing work at home to ensure good performance; preserving the ability to return to the usual mode of life after the period of self-isolation.
