As Ciências Naturais (CNs) são formadas por disciplinas de essência experimental, portanto, para que o processo de ensino e aprendizagem seja efetivo, faz-se necessário o uso de aulas práticas realizadas em laboratório. Este estudo, que tem como objetivo avaliar a utilização de laboratórios pelos/as docentes de CN do ensino fundamental – anos finais, está relacionado com a formação acadêmica, enfocando a importância da realização de aulas práticas. É uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, com aplicação de um questionário contemplando, ao todo, 24 professores/as dos municípios de Abaiara, Brejo Santo e Milagres que lecionam em escolas da rede pública municipal, nos anos finais do ensino fundamental. Dessa forma, foi possível observar, entre os/as entrevistados/as, que 50% são formados nas áreas que compreendem as CNs, porém é perceptível que professores/as que não são de áreas afins às CNs ministram aulas nessa disciplina. Também foi possível observar que, na região estudada, o/a docente, mesmo formado/a dentro da área de CN, considera sua formação acadêmica insuficiente para conduzir aulas práticas de laboratório. As dificuldades encontradas pelos/as docentes perpassam sua formação e também estão atreladas à falta de estrutura física e à localização das escolas onde lecionam.
A docência é desafiadora e instigante para quem se dispõe a enxergá-la muito além da transmissão de conteúdos, sobretudo ao reconhecer educandos/as e educadores/as e todos/as que constituem os currículos escolares e acadêmicos, como sujeitos socioculturais, políticos e históricos. Desse modo, o currículo passou por diversas definições sendo alvo de discussões sobre as perspectivas teórico-analíticas e influências no processo de ensino e aprendizagem, até hoje. Este estudo tem como principal objetivo: problematizar os discursos de professores/as de Biologia sobre currículo e a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), a partir da perspectiva dos estudos culturais pós-estruturalistas. Realizamos entrevistas semiestruturadas com 11 docentes cisgêneros masculino e feminino, que ministram as disciplinas de Ciências/Biologia nas redes públicas municipal e estadual. Adotamos a análise foucaultiana do discurso como ferramenta teórico-analítica. Embora o currículo também abranja conteúdos específicos, atividades, avaliações, ensino e aprendizagem, teoria e prática, pode ir além dessa visão generalista no qual encontra-se inserido, ao reconhecer as múltiplas identidades/diferenças socioculturais que permeiam o ambiente escolar. Para tanto, ressaltamos a importância de políticas públicas educacionais que, de fato, visem uma conexão entre escola e sociedade através da (re)construção de currículos escolares pluralistas e democráticos, não mais enclausurados em “grades”, mas que contribuam para a incessante formação sociocultural e política de “sujeitos aprendizes e do aprendizado” para além do conhecimento científico.
A Educação Sexual constitui um processo contínuo e planejado que abrange distintas abordagens e metodologias acerca de sexualidade, corpo e gênero. Este trabalho engloba relatos de um projeto de extensão desenvolvido com cerca de 206 estudantes do Ensino Fundamental e Ensino Médio em três escolas da rede pública (uma municipal e duas estaduais) do Ceará, que teve como principal objetivo incorporar a Educação Sexual numa perspectiva sociocultural, nos currículos escolares e acadêmicos, por meio de ações pedagógicas que ultrapassam as abordagens biológico-higienistas. As estratégias didático-metodológicas utilizadas nos 15 encontros foram grupos focais organizados em minicursos, oficinas de zines, problematização de artefatos culturais, jogos e rodas de conversas acerca das temáticas da Educação Sexual. Os/as estudantes tiveram a oportunidade de expor opiniões, dúvidas e sugerir temas para serem debatidos. Assim, evidenciamos a necessidade de discutir, de modo contínuo e sistemático, essas temáticas na escola, instigando os/as alunos/as a desconstruírem preconceitos e discriminações acerca das identidades e diferenças sexuais e de gênero.
