Demineralized Beypazari lignite were thermally decarboxylated using Cr 2C , Fe 2C , and Co 2C as decarboxylation catalysts. Effective loadings of Cr 2C , Fe 2C , and Co 2C were 2, 5, and 3%, respectively. The calorific values of the demineralized lignite samples increased after the thermal decarboxylation experiments to values about 6, 12, and 15% higher than that of the untreated demineralized sample, when Cr 2C , Fe 2C , and Co 2C , respectively, were used as catalysts. The most effective catalyst, with respect to the lowest activation energy attained, was Cr 2C . Decarboxylation temperatures using Cr 2C , Fe 2C , and Co 2C as catalysts were 150, 100, and 200 ı C, respectively.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
