А Н Н О Т А Ц И Я. С точки зрения многих представителей русской культуры, она проявляется и воплощается прежде всего в связи с пищевыми ритуалами, то есть с укорененными в жизни или трансформирующимися привычками, касающимися производства и потребления еды, которые сопряжены с общественными и экономическими практиками. Настоящее исследование направлено на кулинарные воспоминания, трансформации и адаптации, происходящие в среде русскоязычных иммигрантов в Финляндии. Данные были получены методом сбора индивидуальных и групповых интервью, а также структурированных тематических эссе. Участники говорили о своих детских воспоминаниях, о том, что они любили и не любили, как старались приспособиться к новому образу жизни после иммиграции, что приняли и от чего отказались. Они также размышляют, насколько эклектичными или интернациональными стали их вкусы, что они думают о еде, которая продается в магазинах, и о блюдах, которые подают в ресторанах, а также о том, какие из традиций сохранились в новых условиях. Результаты показывают, что даже в молодом поколении еда остается самым сильным культурным контактом в семье. Концептуализация личности проходит через то, что человек ест, и то, как он готовит еду. Критика принимающего общества наиболее очевидна в описании странной еды, с которой индивид встречается вне дома. На деле культурное смешение уже стало фактом.
