The study describes the evaluation results concerning the improvement of the education levels among the employees of a university in Indonesia by making an investment in education. The study is aimed at investigating the employees’ productivity and performance after making an investment in education. This study with evaluation method using discrepancy model. The sample of the study consisted of 255 non-academic university employees. Data were collected by way of a questionnaire on Guttmann scale. The questionnaire was validated by using logical and empirical validation by a Pearson correlation technique and reliability by KR-20 technique. The data analysis with descriptive. To calculate the capital human investment, the human capital investment formula was used for finding payback period, benefit/cost ration, return-on-investment, net-present-value, and internal-rate-of-return. The results of the study showed that the employees who made human capital investment in education were able to increase their productivity and performance as their insights, knowledge, and skills improved. The research findings were able to give insights to leaders in high-level institutions or government institutions that investing in education is truly essential, needs more attention, and needs to be done by employees.
Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui program apa saja yang dapat mewujudkan sumber daya manusia (SDM) unggul era 4.0 dan untuk membuat kerangka konseptual baru dalam manajemen pendidikan yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan era 4.0. Artikel ini ditulis dengan menggunakan metode literature review dengan pendekatan mapping review. Proses literature review ini dilakukan dengan cara mencari artikel yang relevan, mengevaluasi dengan cara ekstraksi, menganalisis, dan selanjutnya mensintesis. Database yang digunakan dalam pencarian referensi menggunakan JSTOR dan Springer Link. Hasil dari literature review ini adalah bahwa program-program pendidikan yang menunjang adanya revolusi industri 4.0 berkaitan dengan digital transformation pada aspek-aspek manajemen pendidikan. Kerangka konseptual yang dibuat berkaitan dengan aspek manajemen yang meliputi SDM, Kurikulum, Pembelajaran, Pembiayaan, Sarana Prasarana, Humas, dan Kompetensi Lulusan.AbstractThe purpose of this article writing is to find out what programs can realize superior human resources (HR) of 4.0 era and to create a new conceptual framework in education management that can improve the quality of education in the 4.0 era. This article was written using the literature review method with a mapping review approach. The literature review process was carried out by finding relevant articles, evaluating them by extracting, analyzing, and then synthesizing. The database used in searching references was JSTOR and Springer Link. The results of this review literature are that educational programs that support the 4.0 industrial revolution are related to digital transformation in aspects of educational management. The conceptual framework created is related to management aspects which include HR, Curriculum, Learning, Financing, Infrastructure Facilities, Public Relations, and Graduates' Competencies.
Introduction. The large number of unemployed vocational graduates at this time is a matter of consideration for vocational high school to manage the programme well. This is important because vocational high schools need the help of other institutions to collaborate in improving student competencies.Aim. This research aimed to reveal the forms of partnership and partnership management framework that can be used between vocational high school and industry.Methodology and research methods. This study uses a qualitative method with a multiple case study approach. This research was conducted in vocational high school and industrial enterprises. To determine the participants, the purposive sampling was used. The research was conducted in six stages applying the case study model design from K. R. Yin (plan, design, preparation, data collection, analysis, sharing research results). Data triangulation was employed to establish the validity of research results. Data analysis was carried out with the help of ATLAS.ti Software version 8.3.Results and scientific novelty. The results of this research showed that the forms of partnership that can be used between vocational high school and industry are internship, industrial learning, work-based learning, and experiential learning. The partnership framework needed are planning, organising, actuating and monitoring, coordinating, and evaluating. The novelty from this research is a cooperation model for vocational high school to improving student competence according to industry needs. The model is also one part of the relevant objectives of vocational high schools for industry.Practical significance. The current research is useful for the Ministry of Education of Indonesia, vocational high schools, and industry, especially policy makers in decision making, principals, and Human Resources Development (HRD) in industry. A significant benefit is related to the importance of partnerships that need to be developed through joint programmes. This partnership is necessary to strengthen relationships between different roles (school and industry) to prepare vocational high school graduates in the transition from school-to-work in industry.
Eye disease today is no longer a rare disease suffered by humans. Many symptoms encountered makes people become confused if the types of eye diseases from which they suffer. Type of eye disease that often affects people of Indonesia according to the Ministry of Health is conjunctivitis, Pterygium, Cataract and Glaucoma. It's no secret if in a meeting with the ophthalmologist will cost not less. Expert systems are computer-based systems that use knowledge, facts and reasoning techniques in solving problems that normally can only be solved by an expert in the field. Forward chaining inference engine used in this study to chronicling the symptoms are inconclusive, then the certainty factor method so that we can determine what percentage of the disease in the suffering of patients through the results of the count in the method. Application web-based expert system created to provide information to people with eye disease illness is entered in accordance with the symptoms.
The purpose of this study was to find out about ethnomatematics learning among students majoring in mathematics education at Yogyakarta State University, as well as to what extent students' understanding, especially in applying ethno-mathematics in a learning process in the classroom. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of case study, the object of research was one class of mathematics education students at Yogyakarta State University consisting of 31 students. The results of the study provide information that students understand ethnomatematics but are still constrained by the implementation of learning. Students are constrained in preparing lesson plans and teaching materials where they are still unable to integrate cultural material into the mathematics material.
