Objetivo: Em momentos de transição, como mudanças inesperadas ou eventos estressantes, os sujeitos tendem a buscar bases informacionais que diminuam seu estado de incerteza e contribuam com a tomada de decisão informada. Uma das formas de transpor as dificuldades impostas por um novo ambiente informacional complexo é o desenvolvimento da resiliência informacional, construída a partir das práticas de letramento dos sujeitos. Esse trabalho, então, tem como objetivo compreender o processo de busca por informações no ambiente digital e sua relação com a resiliência informacional, no contexto do surto de microcefalia vivenciado no Brasil em 2015.
Método: Pesquisa descritiva, de abordagem qualitativa. Realizada por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com sete mulheres – com filhos diagnosticados com microcefalia causada por Zika vírus – residentes na região Nordeste do Brasil. Dados analisados com base na análise temática de conteúdo.
Resultado: O acesso à informação no ambiente digital não foi homogêneo, algumas mulheres preferiram priorizar asinformações advindas dos profissionais de saúde. Àquelas que permaneceram acessando o ambiente digital,experimentaram tanto experiências positivas quanto negativas relacionadas à informação. A desinformação se apresentou como a principal barreira de acesso à informação no ambiente digital.
Conclusões: As limitações quanto à busca informacional no ambiente digital foram enfrentadas a partir da articulação entre as fontes digitais situacionais e as não digitais. Os espaços de saúde e seus profissionais agiram como curadores das informações encontradas no ambiente digital, oferecendo confiança e credibilidade. Além disso, a colaboração entre as mulheres proporcionou o aprendizado mútuo que favoreceu o processo de resiliência informacional.
Apresenta a experiência da disciplina Gênero em Ciência da Informação na Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB), oferecida pelo Departamento de Ciência da Informação, que teve como público-alvo os (as) alunos (as) de graduação em Biblioteconomia e Arquivologia. Tem como problemática apreender a visão dos (as) alunos (as) sobre o significado da disciplina em sua formação. Assim, pretende, por meio dos objetivos específicos, apresentar um breve perfil dos (as) discentes que cursaram a disciplina e a ótica dos (as) mesmos (as) a respeito da influência da disciplina em sua formação, no quesito ensino-aprendizagem, teorias e metodologias, e sua contribuição para a construção de conhecimento sobre as teorias de gênero e a Ciência da Informação. Para a coleta de dados, foi utilizado o questionário eletrônico enviado por e-mail para os sujeitos da pesquisa. A análise/interpretação alicerçou-se nos conceitos constitutivos do referencial teórico. Foi possível constatar como a disciplina foi apreendia pelos alunos como necessária para as suas formações, principalmente, no que diz respeito ao entendimento da natureza social da categoria gênero e de sua imbricação com a Ciência da Informação.
Este trabalho apresenta os primeiros resultados do Projeto Laboratório de Tecnologias Intelectuais, em desenvolvimento mediante parceria entre o Departamento de Ciência da Informação e o Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação da Universidade Federal da Paraíba. O Projeto visa promover ações para propiciar o acesso à informação e à formação de competências em informação, através da Internet, bem como a troca produtiva de conhecimentos e experiências entre pesquisadores, bolsistas e usuários. Propõe ações em nível de pesquisa (o projeto em si), ensino (educação a distância) e extensão (cursos e tutoriais), abordando as tecnologias intelectuais e suas aplicações em um ambiente de compartilhamento de conhecimentos. Este artigo relata resultados já alcançados desde o início do Projeto, em 2009, especialmente a experiência com a Oficina de Criatividade Científica, curso de extensão presencial com atividades on-line, que proporciona aos participantes a oportunidade de conhecer e trabalhar as abordagens e metodologias do campo da Ciência da Informação.
