Este artigo discute o ensino-aprendizagem de inglês (LI) para alunos com a Síndrome de Asperger (SA), considerando a formação inicial de professores de LI para atuar no contexto inclusivo. Tendo como proposta a neuroeducação, objetivamos discutir: 1) a formação inicial de professores de LI no século XXI e 2) o ensino-aprendizagem de LI para alunos SA. Os dados analisados com base no Interacionismo Sócio-Discursivo (ISD) foram obtidos a partir de uma entrevista feita com uma professora formadora do curso de Letras-Inglês da Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL) e presidente da comissão que está repensando o atual currículo do curso. Concluímos que, apesar de haver: 1) novas direções apontadas pelo campo da neuroeducação, para se compreender e aprimorar o processo de ensino-aprendizagem, e 2) leis que regulamentam o processo de inclusão, os profissionais de Letras-Inglês não recebem formação inicial para atuar no contexto inclusivo de ensino junto à alunos SA.
