Se estudiaron 7 disgerminomas de ovario en pacientes menores de 20 años recopilados en diez años. El disgerminoma constituyó el 16.66% de todos los tumores ováricos y el 53.84% de los tumores malignos de ovario a esta edad. Lo encontramos, con mayor frecuencia en el ovario izquierdo 57.14%. El tamaño fue desde 15-10-8 cms. hasta llenar toda la pelvis. La cápsula se encontró rota en el 71.42%. En el 57,14% hubo invasión a órganos vecinos y en el 28.75% se encontraron metástasis ganglionares a ganglios para-aórticos, supraclaviculares, axilares e inguinales. En todas las pacientes se observó una tremenda agresividad tumoral la que se destacó preferencialmente en las niñas impuberes. A todas se les practicó tratamiento quirúrgica conservador. Sólo se pudo hacer tratamiento radioterápico post quirúrgico a una paciente. Una paciente dió a luz a los 19 meses de haber sido operada. Residivaron el 42.8% entre los 11 meses y los 30 meses. No tenemos supervivencia a los 5 años. Se pregoniza cirugía conservadora mas radioterapia posterior. Se nos pierden de todo control el 42.8%. Se discuten nuestros hallazgos comparándolos con los de otros autores. Se dan conclusiones. Se presentan 50 citas bibliográficas.
Los tumores sólidos pseudopapilares de páncreas son una rara entidad de los cuales se desconoce el origen celular. Su característica sólido-quística papilar está dada por la formación de un tumor sólido con áreas de degeneración necrobiótica por falta de vascularización. Su sintomatología es inespecífica, siendo muy poco frecuente la compresión y dilatación de la vía biliar principal con aparición de ictericia obstructiva. Los diagnósticos diferenciales incluyen tumores sólidos y quísticos. El tratamiento de elección es la cirugía resectiva con criterio oncológico.
Se hace un estudio de revisión de las neoplasias ováricas ocurridas en un lapso de 13 años en el Hospital San Juan de Dios, de Cúcuta. Se recopilaron 367 casos de los cuales 317 (86.9%) fueron benignos y 50 (13.1%) malignos. Las edades extremas oscilaron entre 3 y 90 años. Siguiendo la clasificación histogenética de Hertig y Gore, el tipo más frecuente de tumor fue el cistadenoma seroso, seguido de los quistes dermoides, cistadenocarcinoma y diversas clases de tumores. Se relievan la baja incidencia de tumores pseudomucinosos, la coexistencia de un cistadenocarcinoma papilar con un tumor de células granulosas, la asociación de un cistedon carcinoma seroso con embarazo y el hallazgo de un tumor de Brenner maligno. Se hace énfasis sobre el aumento de la incidencia del carcinoma ovárico, la baja tasa de supervivencia a los 5 años y la necesidad de medidas profilácticas para su detección temprana.
El Rabdomiosarcoma es un tumor, muy raro y sumamente maligno, de los músculos estriados. Era muy poco conocido hasta la recopilación de Stout, quien encontró 323 casos descritos en sus diferentes localizaciones, lo cual indica su rareza. Se presenta con mayor frecuencia en etapas avanzadas de la vida especialmente entre la quinta y sexta décadas, con ligero predominio en varones. Se desarrolla de preferencia en ciertas regiones del cuerpo siendo las más comunes el sistema génito-uri- nario (vejiga, riñón, próstata, útero y vagina), y los músculos de las extremidades y del tronco; se han publicado casos de localización cardíaca. Las características clínicas varían según la localización y nos referimos más adelante a las que aparecen cuando el tumor se presenta en el útero. Las lesiones tienen un crecimiento muy rápido por lo cual experimentan con frecuencia procesos de necrosis y hemorragia, no siendo raro apreciar zonas de reblandecimiento quístico.
